Manny's Appliances — Local services in Portland

Stopped by Manny's on a Sunday afternoon looking for a dishwasher I could bring home that day. This was after going to all the "big box stores", they all had only one or two models in stock and the couple they did have were either too cheap or way too expensive. Manny's did have some in stock also, but in talking to them, I decided to order one that met all my needs versus settling. The two gentlemen there were extremely knowledgeable, talked me through my options and not only made a great recommendation but they were VERY competitive on pricing and timing. I might be one of the few residents of Portland who hadn't shopped at Portland Electric in the past as this store just changed ownership within the week but I highly recommend them. For anyone questioning how the new ownership would be, please do not worry and definitely give them a shot! While I hope my other appliances last a while, I know where I will be going first...

Do not recommend this store!! No customer service unless you need something repaired that you purchased there, they will tell you they will only come out to service something at your home only if you’re a customer of theirs. Obviously they don’t know the definition of “customer”, once you walk in their store you are a customer. They also overcharge, I bought two small halogen light bulbs in which they charged $30.00. Online the same bulbs from the same company $7.99 each. Do your research, there are other much better, customer friendly appliance stores, do not waste your time or your money at...

I never really write reviews but this company absolutely deserved this review. I usually go get my appliances from big box stores, however, after going in and being ignored, I remembered someone saying how great their experience was from Portland Electric. I was in the market for a new washer and I can tell you that a great experience is what I received!
