Wonderful place. Great dedicated staff who love their job and take ever opportunity to go the extra mile with care. State of the art buildings that are well managed and great maintenance and managment over all. All systems and departments work flawlessly together and awesome Cooks in the several different kitchens and cares. I all ways appreciate the care and environment OHSU provides when a loved one or I fall ill. Thanks for all you do and keep it up!

Cannot understand how a hospital will not let you visit your loved ones. Mandates are being dropped everywhere and you have family dying in there and only one person can go see them. This policy makes no sense when you have thousands of people bustling through their everyday. The staff at the door are completely ignorant to families feelings coming into the hospital. Too busy on their cell phones to even make eye contact when you come in.

From the moment my wife and I walked in we felt an emotion of relief. The staff is attentive and educated. The facilities are not only stunning to look at but appear to be maintained very well. My wife has been dealing with a growth on her pancreas for almost 2 years now and has been pushed to the side so to speak at hospitals elsewhere. A big thank you to everyone at OHSU in Portland.

Feb Multi, bad experiences OHSU since Feb last yr, not telling me proper diagnosis even after going 2 ER+clinic 4xs. Went in 4 blockage(isleostomy)w severe pain. Did CT scan after w long wait. Said I had a blockage + parastomal NO 1 TOLD ME ON SAME REPORT GALLBLADDER IS bad w STONES. I was given a STAT surgical consult w OHSU GI. Took months 2 get in w pain suffering entire time. Had to hire patient advocate@huge cost, to get that apt in June. Saw 1st Dr was nice, wasnt told of gallbladder she mentioned she didn't have of seen CT scan, wanted me 2 see another surgeon in same office 2 fix hernis/ ileostomy repair . Still very ill waited 4 another appt still w/o complete diag. Dr my blood pressure+pulse was so hi from pain sent me by ambulance from OHSU Clinic to their hospital on hill w cardiac concerns. still didn't note my gallbladder. About traumatized the ambulance got lost w short distance gave Nitro every 5 mins caused migraine. Only worked up 4♡+ never saw a DR before discharge. Pain and BP was caused from gallbladder pancreatitis plus hernia. 3rd X @apt Dr finally came in said, see U have bad gallbladder w stones. I said you have the wrong room. Was then told when he saw stats we're so bad, sent me again 2 ER 4 pain control+ tests. Was diag w pancreatitis too. Took going 2 Prov Hosp, Received bad care they're too. Dr ref 2 give pain med, until tests came back. Was Admitted left early due 2,0 GI Doc ava. They almost killed me giving me lactulose which is not ok 4 ostomy let alone gallbladder with pancreatitis. First time ever leaving a hospital early in fear of my life. Finally ended up back at OHSU 4 surgeries. Ended up W complications in Oct. February to October to get surgery+help why? I had new ostomy hernia Gallbladder removal. A wk Hospital stay. Is normal ALWAYS, have 2B fitted 4 proper szbag+ SUPPORT &SUPPLIES BY OSTOMY NURSE. Never happened! Was sent home w old bag was 2 tight causing pain+probs w healing. Also, 1/2 day of pain meds. Suffered immensely, left to lay in own feces not having proper apparatus caused hernia to return. Suffering to this day w covid can't even get in ER 4 help. Told 2 go to ER BP been 258/182 p over 180 due 2 pain + blockages caused from hernia.3 days after health came in.Called repeatedly only being told to ER. Scared discouraged? Hired a patient advocate to help me. Im on disability, What has happened to Healthcare, am I the only one? Also what has happened to adequate pain control? Severe problem surgical patients R not the prob. You can't even get a script filled 4 opiates. All R tracked under all names, a nationwide database. No reason patient 2B left W no medical supplies, pain control 2 lay in their own feces w 0 ostomies bags. At a loss of what 2 do anymore. Don't know where to go or who to trust. It's sad when a Dr makes mistakes just own it,not like I'm suing just want...

I was actively hurting myself and saying I'll kill myself and they released me, I'm an educated patient and just so y'all know that's against federal law! If I die my family could sue over malpractice, I know my rights this place has violated them constantly! Even 988 the suicide hotline was asking why I was released and was confused and said "they should not have released you!" Also one of the doctors gave me a spine subluxation because she physically forced me to sit up! i have eds and autism, they were well aware of this fact! physically touching me without permission sent me into a PTSD episode! She said wake up you can't sleep here! I was crying because I'm in crisis! I have way too much adrenaline from my PTSD to sleep! That's an outrageous accusation! I mentally passed out for a second from being overwhelmed, that's not sleeping that's me mentally blacking out! they brought security to take me outside like I wasn't begging to be released from there horrible care saying it will make me worse the longer they keep me! I'm only a danger to myself and stated that, why would you get security involved with a minority in crisis, they try to escort me out before they returnedy wheal chair I'm the only one at risk of being hurt in this situation bringing cops only escalates! That's not suicide prevention! This has sent me further into crisis, I have no idea if I will be here tomorrow, hopefully Inshallah! They don't help patients they hurt them. This is consistent for them, I'd rather die then step foot back into this facility! And that's 1000,% because of agoraphobia, which is why I was admitted! It was the same when I slipped a disc, I was treated poorly with malpractice and wasn't allowed to lay down! They bring most people in on stretchers if they break back for context! and tbh it's probably a bit of Islamiphobia mixed with ablism and prejudice. Im tired of medical staff not taking me seriously because I'm autistic and homeless or a minority. I wasn't looking for a place to sleep, I need inpatient care not a shelter run by Christian. They don't understand how that could be dangerous for a Jew with Palestinian decent racism is dangerous, so many christians want me dead because of my ancestry and zionism! Minorities and mental patients be weary this place isn't safe for us! I felt extremely unsafe, I was more scare inside their facility then outside! I witnessed them do the same for another person in crisis in the ER they were in tears on the side walk when I walked past! So it's not just me they do this too! I've had multiple conversation with other patients about malpractice and not receiving treatment here! Please for your precious life go somewhere that will help I know OHSU is great however...

My ER nurse's Ms. Caley D. and Audrey J, were consumate professionals, caring, attitudes unreal, attention to detail and the "Team Effort" second to none. There have never been two nurses that I have ever stated that they should be the "Face of the Hospital", until today, Thank you both so very much, I have no words. My assigned MD, Doctor Rebecca Raven, should know that the Herculean Effort that she made on my behalf I have never experienced, her professionalism, her quick attention to stop the pain, her orders to escalate her investigation wanting to get to the bottom of what was wrong , unbelievable, and her knowledge of like no other MD ever assigned to my care. She has set the bar so high, I don't if there is an Attending doctor anywhere that can show the energy as she has. I am so lucky to have had her, Many Thanks as she is "The Epitome of perfection. Jessica B. Is the greatest "Huc" in the entire 50 States. Yuki C and Chase B are awesome cna's, RN Lindsay W. care's about her patients, very hard worker and is spot on, and Ryan I in the food service is awesome ,just a "good egg". Michael W. Is a magnificent nurse, Consumate professionals and was spot on . Belle L. Is a fantastic nurse, attentive to the patients needs, fantastic attitude and is a "a good egg". Kaitlyn B. Is something else, she's so quiet you don't know she's there, but she's a hell of a good nurse, great team addition . Mel A. Works like amazing employee, she cares about the patients, and she is just Wonderful. The case Manager Mrs. Aly called me today and said she was working on my case, she was "Spot On" with her assessment and was detail oriented, explained everything to me, just a "Good Egg". I can't even Thank her enough , I have no words, she's an Angel and that I am convinced of.Courtnie K. Is so sweet, consumate professional, doesn't poke my finger when taking my blood sugar to where lancet comes out the other side, she great. Alexa J. Is just so awesome, she helped me so much please thank her as I have. Brandon R. and Ryan in food service are both awesome and spot on, Thanks fella's and Deanna is amazing as well. My nurse Lorrie was AWESOME. My charge nurse is RJ, he's an awesome charge nurse he certainly went out of his way for me and my nurse Lorrie is just a " Good...
