You will see great reviews if you scroll down for Chill Catering for events that can be planned months or even a year ahead such as graduation parties, baby showers, milestone birthdays and even weddings. There is plenty of time to plan, to make changes, adjust menus and work out details. This type of lengthy planning process cannot happen when you are planning a post-funeral memorial meal.
I live in the NH/Maine Seacoast, and thought with all the variety of businesses that I could easily find a place to hold a luncheon. I could have not been more wrong because of the limited hours many restaurants are having to offer due to staffing issues.
When we contacted Dan at the Roundabout Diner, he introduced us to Scott who coordinates the Events and Catering arm of the business called Chill Catering and the two of them worked their magic in helping to secure the venue next door at the Best Western where they have lovely function rooms to fit the 100 guests that we wanted to plan for.
When you are in the middle of your grief, you need an event coordinator who not only helps make things happen immediately, but who really understands the importance of finding a way to say "yes" to any all requests you make. Scott was this person for us and truly an angel that I needed in that moment.
Scott and I created a menu that honored the religious and traditional aspects of a funeral meal. He created space to put up all the photo tributes we wanted to display. He and his team were professional, compassionate and friendly. All the tables in the venue were decorated specifically as we asked. The baked haddock and sides were delicious and moist. Gluten free baked haddock was also prepared to meet certain family members dietary needs. Leftover food was put into to-go containers because Scott realized that our family would be hungry again later, so why not take the food home.
This attention to detail with less than 48 hours notice, demonstrates the high level professionalism that Dan, Scott and the team at the Roundabout & Chill Catering exude.
If you are planning on ANY type of event, make sure you contact them immediately. You will be treated like family as we certainly...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of attending a clam bake hosted by Chill Catering at Lake Winnipesaukee, and I must say it was an unforgettable experience. From start to finish, the event was flawlessly executed, leaving a lasting impression on everyone in attendance. I cannot praise Chill Catering enough for their incredible food and exceptional service.
The food provided by Chill Catering was nothing short of spectacular. The star of the show was the lobster. It was evident that Chill Catering pays meticulous attention to sourcing top-quality ingredients.
Accompanying the seafood were delectable side dishes that perfectly complemented the main course. The cornbread was moist and fluffy, with a hint of sweetness that added a delightful contrast to the savory seafood. The chowder was rich and creamy, packed with generous portions of clams that brought a satisfying depth of flavor. The coleslaw was crisp and refreshing, providing a cool contrast to the warm seafood feast. And let's not forget the corn on the cob, cooked to perfection and bursting with natural sweetness.
Beyond the exquisite culinary offerings, the staff at Chill Catering truly went above and beyond to ensure a memorable experience. They were attentive, friendly, and accommodating throughout the event, ensuring that each guest felt well taken care of. From answering questions about the food to catering to individual dietary preferences, their professionalism and warmth were evident in every interaction. It was clear that they genuinely cared about making the event a success.
I wholeheartedly recommend Chill Catering for any special event or gathering. Their attention to detail and exceptional service make them stand out among the rest. Whether it's a clam bake or any other catering needs, Chill Catering is the go-to choice for an...
Read moreI would NOT recommend this company. I recently used them for my wedding and was not impressed. I worked with Meg to place my order a year and a half before the wedding for an estimated guest count of 125, she agreed with the order, I signed the contract and paid the deposit. Three weeks before my wedding I reached out about next steps and she emailed me back saying we would not have nearly enough food and that we needed to add more (even though the actual guest count was lower than the estimate), so I unfortunately had to add on more food and spend more money at the last minute because she waited a year and a half to tell me that it wouldn’t be enough. At the wedding, the catering staff was complaining to the vendors and the groom that we were still not going to have enough food, and multiple guests heard this. The staff was not dressed appropriately for a wedding (baseball caps and no teeth), was not very friendly to guests, and was seen putting food in a container to take home for themselves without asking us, the people who paid for the food, if that was okay. Even after complaining to everyone that we wouldn’t have enough food, we ended up taking several trays home. Our DJ also said she has worked with them at other venues and has not had good experiences with them. You are better off going with a different company and getting a plated dinner. That might...
