This was one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. My phone had sever water damage so I made an appointment to have it "fixed". I ended up paying over $100 for a "fixed" phone when a newly refurbished one was roughly $200. I was not happy with the price to begin with but nonetheless my phone was "fixed". After about a week I went back in because the phone still wasn't working and right from the start they started trying to sell me more parts to "fix" it. I didn't want to pay anything and asked if they could provided me with information regarding exactly what they did the first time and where that $100 went. The refused to give me any more additional information regarding what they did to my phone and in the end responded with "well you shouldn't have dropped it in the water in the first place". This was followed by "sorry sir we don't see this type of problem everyday". If they truly can't fix a water damaged phone why are they advertising they can fix it and taking money from people even though the problem is much bigger than they can handle? These are deceptive practices as a business and are incredibly shady. Not to mention how rude the sales associate was. After I questioned where that money that was spent on the phone for repairs went, the sales associate was nothing but rude to me and was visibly angry. I felt incredibly uncomfortable around this person and wanted nothing more than to leave the store. In the end the owner of the business was nice enough to offer a full refund as long as I returned the parts they installed. They got rid of my old screen and attempted to give me a cracked one to replace it. I pointed this out and the same sales associate got very mad at me. The screen they ended up giving me doesn't even turn on and I believe my phone is more broken now than when I brought it in initially. I will never recommend this place to anyone purely based off of the customer service experience and the way I was treated by this sales associate. Had the sales associate been nicer this would have been a much easier process and a more...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy phone died without any warning or indication that something was wrong. Iām self-employed and am constantly communicating with my clients via texts and emails, so I was in full panic mode. I brought my phone to AT&T (my service provider) and they were stumped. They couldnāt figure it out and sent me to another cellphone repair place they are affiliated with. I drove a half hour to get there, only to find that they werenāt open that day (even though their website said they were open). š©
My friend recommended CPR Cell Phone Repair in Portsmouth and I had to wait until the next day to bring it to them. They open late at 10 am (I wish it was earlier) and when I got there, Vinny Martino took me right away. I told him what happened and explained how my clients and I had no way of communicating while Iām on the road, and that I desperately needed to get my phone back in working order ASAP.
Vinny told me that he had a few jobs ahead of me and it would be about an hour or so before he could look at it. I had to go do client visits that were 30 and 45 minutes away respectively, and left my phone with him. We had no way of communicating while I was on the road so I asked him if he would be able to call my husband to let him know if it was fixable or not, and to authorize my husband to pick it up either way. (My husband worked near the Portsmouth store). Vinny said that would be no problem, and took his contact info.
I had to give Vinny my iPhone cloud username and password because I have 2-factor authentication on my account, and he needed this information in case he was able to get my phone working again. Itās very scary giving sensitive security information like this to a complete stranger at a business Iāve never worked with before. Vinny was very professional about it and made me feel comfortable about giving that information.
Vinny was able to fix my phone (the battery was dead) and my husband was able to pick it up 3 hours after I had dropped it off. I am SO grateful to Vinny and would highly recommend CPR Cell Phone Repair in...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI can't thank Brandon and Vinny enough! I'm writing this review on the phone they saved for me today.
My phone took an unintentional dip in ocean water and died. I'm here on a trip, so it felt pretty urgent to get my phone up and running again!
After calling local repair shops on my husband's phone, we found out not all places service water damaged phones and were referred here. Vinny took my call and kindly advised to get in as soon as possible. We got there with my phone, which at this point had spent 20 minutes in some shallow ocean water (it had leaked into my water case), had been rinsed in tap water (don't do this), and was dead for at least another 20 minutes for the ride over to the shop.
Brandon came up from the back to help and was amazing! They had a spare screen/battery for my 4 year old phone on hand, and he accurately guessed that those components were fried on my phone. For the next hour or so, he came back out 3 times to show us how the repair was going, where the corrosion had occurred/where the water had pooled in my phone. In the end, he managed to save my phone, all my data, and even my sim/SD card (which was especially impressive since that's where the water was mostly pooled). He spent a lot of time cleaning it under a microscope and drying it, and both he and Vinny were very pleasant and kind through the whole thing.
I walked away with a replaced screen/battery, and my fully functioning phone. I'm...
