I love Ollie's and have been to many different ones up and down the East Coast. There are usually always some good finds and most of the time I really enjoy the staff. Unfortunately this location has one particular staff member that is so unpleasant. Not sure how she is still employed there with the little to no customer service skills she has but I actually dread being in her checkout line and when she is out on the floor I feel uncomfortable being in an aisle she is working in. Customers shouldn't feel as if they are such an inconvenience to the employees yet she gives off negative energy everytime I have encountered her. I had a very heavy item that she offered no help in trying to find a way to scan without me straining myself trying to lift it out of the cart by myself and delaying the line. Additionally because their carts cant go outside to prevent theft she was no help in offering a cart literally behind her that didnt have the bar so i could easily take out my very heavy purchase. Her tone is rude and she constantly rolls her eyes and sighs as though annoyed. I thought the first time I encountered her she was just having a bad day but now I feel as though this is just how she is. Probably should find a job that doesn't require working with customers... on the flip side, there is one very nice employee I have encountered that always greets everyone so friendly working right next to the door and she restores my faith a bit more. Wish I got their names but anyone that shops here regularly I am sure knows exactly who I'm...
Read moreIf you ever find yourself needing something but not sure what it is, go to Ollie's! They have a great selection of products and foods that you don't know you need until you browse through the store. We had no idea what we needed until we browsed the entire store. We ended up buying copper infused socks. Everybody needs those! We also bought some homemade hard candy. Why? Because it was there and sounded good at the time. If you’re into nostalgia and hard candy, this is for you. And we couldn't pass by the cookies and candies. Chocolate marshmallow cups and peanut butter cups. Yeah. We needed them. And then there were the ooey, gooey, crispy marshmallow cookies. Those could have stayed there, but we bought them anyway. Next trip, we may buy some fishing tackle, a huge Bluetooth speaker, a box of plant food, and some chocolate covered malted milk eggs. It's a treasure hunt, for sure. A little cluttered, but that adds to...
Read moreI've always been a fan of Ollie's Bargain Outlet for their great deals, and I especially appreciate their text links to weekly flyers - a convenient touch that keeps me updated on their latest offerings. I recently felt compelled to update my review to highlight another aspect of the store that makes it stand out: the exceptional customer service.
The employees at Ollie's are not just helpful; they greet each customer with a warmth that makes you feel like family. This kind of welcoming atmosphere is becoming more common in chain stores, but Ollie's truly excels at it. It creates a casual, friendly environment that makes shopping there a pleasant and less contentious experience. This blend of great bargains and genuinely caring staff makes Ollie's Bargain Outlet a standout...
