Zippy Mart — Local services in Portsmouth

Big lunch menu, but i've only had one thing the 4 or 5 times i've been to the Zippy Mart. I only order the fried pork chop sandwich. Two pork chops, bone-in, deep fried in a nice crispy batter, served on 2 slices of Wonder bread. This sandwich ranks up there as one of the best sandwiches you can find in Hampton Roads. Needs mayo, though. They'll put some on there, but you've gotta remember to ask for it.

You can call your order in ahead of time. Sometimes there's long lines around noon, but don't go in too late, because they run out of stuff. I went in at 2:00 and they were out of pork chops and the fryer was off. They offered to make more but it would be a long wait.
