I was in your business today (8/2). My husband and I vist your establishment several times in a month, due in part to my husband loving your Friday and Saturday special. Today (8/2) for the first time we invited my best friend and her husband to join us for lunch to experience your Friday and Saturday special. I was offended with the reply my best friend told me she received when she wrote a review concerning her experience with her bill which was prepared by your server (Destiney) the manger and paid at check out to her daughter. Due to some of my health and dietary restrictions (I bring Clorax wipes and I rewipe the table down, the menu, the salt/pepper, and catsup bottle). I have made requests of your servers in the past and they have always compiled with my request. I was never told that there would be any additional fee for these requests, which I would have gladly paid for had I been told that my request came with a fee. I requested a to go cup for my unsweetened tea and a separate to go cup for my ice. Which I was charged for and had no problem with paying for the cup. Anyone that drinks unsweetened tea knows that it is easier to sweeten the tea with no ice. Today was different. Our party of 4 was charged 18% gratuity when the menu states parties of 5 or more are charged a 18% gratuity. The reply also stated that the reason we, a party of 4 was charged 18% gratuity was because someone at our table never leaves a tip. That would mean they were talking about me. My daughter was a server in two different restaurants for over 10 years and I ALWAYS leave a tip of at least 20% or more, due to knowing what my daughter experienced in that industry. In restaurants where I have to sign the receipt, I ALWAYS leave a cash tip. I write on the tip line the word cash an I give the tip directly to the server. At Corner Cafe, I ALWAYS place money in the tip jar and at times I have also given the server an additional tip. Your credit card machine doesn't give you an option for a cash tip. In closing, since my integrity about not leaving a tip in the past was questioned and I was very offended by that statement, you have just lost a very good customer and...
Read moreCustomer service was not friendly at all. When making my order the cashier was multi tasking and didn't put my order in as I asked. When I took the food back I was called a liar on putting in my order and was told that they weren't going to refund my money. SMHRH, that upset me that I was called a liar and I know how I like my food and how I ordered it. But, she was busy moving around ect but she honestly didn't put my order in correctly and to be called a liar was unacceptable. If you're writing down things and putting in orders walking away from me and you say you have my order right but then don't why I'm being called a liar and it was simply a misunderstanding lack of communication she told her boss that she gave me eye contact when ordering my food but simply not because you were writing ect. I'm just saying I don't like my hash browns fried hard or my toast almost burnt so why wouldn't I specify on how I want my food cooked? The manager really showed no professionalism, stated that she was not refunding me because the food looked good to her. I explained to her that I work hard fory money and if I'm going to purchase anything I want what I asked for. She told me that she was in the business to make money not lose it and I explained to her that I'm not going to pay for something that I don't want because that's wasn't how I ordered my food. I told her that the young lady was multi tasking and she clearly didn't get my order right and the young lady loudly said again why are you lying right now??? Why do I have to lie??? I had got to work and had to leave and go back because my order wasn't right. If it had been a mistake on my end why go all the way back???? People please from my experience if you see that someone is multi tasking when you're ordering your food let them complete what they're doing no matter if the say go ahead I got you wait then order with eye contact and have them to repeat it back to you because this is just tewwwww much. They asked for a receipt and I let them know that she did not give me one they asked her where was the receipt she threw my receipt in the trash but kept the cash register so that's how they were able to refund...
Read moreTerrible customer service. We got there and noone spoke to us so we decided to seat ourselves. Already turned off. Our waitress came and took our drink order. She took our food order, brought my boyfriends coffee, and that was it. It took A LONG TIME for our food to cook. While we were waiting we saw her standing at a table running her mouth with two customers while holding a pot of coffee. She was there for awhile. Someone else brought us our food. My sub was not hot like I asked for and I was missing my BBQ sauce. Our waitress is still talking to those two people and continues to talk. So I ask another waitress for my sandwich to be made properly and for our condiments. I have to wait a little while for that to happen and then the other waitress brings those. Our waitress is still talking to those two people. She finally stops, passes us and goes and stands behind the cash register. My water is getting low, we are running out of napkins, running out of condiments, and my bf needs more coffee. Our waitress is doing everything else but attending to us. Therefore, my bf has to ask another waitress for more coffee. Our waitress continues to run around and never comes back to our table. I finally flag her down to ask for more honey mustard and she looks at me as if I shouldn't be asking her for anything. She brings it and again continues to walk around talking to everyone else BUT us. Finally I just ask another waitress for our check so we can go because at this point what am I here for. Clearly not good service and the food was mediocre. I believe the kind waitress that kept helping us is named Kaylie? Tall and blonde ? Thank you Kaylie, u are the only reason I gave two stars instead of one. Also, the food is way too expensive for the taste...
