After years of purchasing with O’Reillys, I unfortunately have never dealt with a more difficult or uncommon sense situation. Unfortunately, I had some work done on my son’s vehicle. A battery was purchased By our mechanic a brand new battery that’s less than 6 1/2 months old at a cost of $270. Unfortunately, the battery went bad and my son’s vehicle. I took the battery out, took it to the nearest O’Reillys, which was here in Pottsboro unfortunately we could not locate the original purchase on the battery. However, the battery bought on 6/24 clearly marked on the battery which is a new like Condition. I understand why they need to verify the purchase, but if I can show you the invoice from my mechanic Where it was replaced for whatever reason it just can’t be located under his account to swap it out for a warranty whenever it’s y’all‘s personal brand of batteries. I would think that common sense would come in to play on this being that it’s a very certain battery for his BMW and you clearly see that we have a BMW on our account. That we could’ve figured something out on a battery that was less than seven months old however I was met with nothing but resistance and again I do understand . Also, why purchases like that must be returned with purchase history or receipt however this was a unique situation and I would think that some common sense would come in to play here. I can respect the policy, but I do not agree with it and I will not be buying any other batteries from O’Reillys moving forward I just had one go out for a ATV that I purchased for $179 less than a month old and it did the exact same thing quit working however I purchased that one I was able to get it exchanged, but it still leads to the same situation here which is poor quality products and absolutely no common sense in the process of the return. and after digging long enough and going to a different O’Reillys, that used commonly sense we where able to pull up the purchase receipt just to reinforce that the battery wasn’t fact new and purchased by us. I would suggest that O’Reillys work on common sense problem solving. Instead of just turning customers...
Read moreHad the worst experience ever with Corbin. We bought a alternator and a battery for my sons truck less then a year ago from the Pottsboro store.on the way home today the alternator went out so we pulled it off the truck and took it up there .Corbin said that it was the wrong alternator for the first 20 mins of our time then he found his mistake and agreed to replace it . In the beginning he said he had no way of testing the alternator anyways.so once he realized it was the correct part he took it in the back and said he tested it and it was good. I had my my doubts Since he had already said he could not test it so we took is to Denison and it tested bad and they informed me that the only way to test this alternator was with it on the vehicle. So we bought another alternator came home, put it on the truck and the truck is fixed.i have done business here since they opened trying to support local business but this is it for me. This guy had a chip on his shoulder though all this and basically acted like we was trying to get a part for free .i will make the drive to autozone from this point forward at least i get...
