I find it both surprising and disappointing that someone claiming to run a “business” would be concerned about others selling similar products. In any real marketplace, competition is expected — clothes, vinyl items, home décor… these aren’t niche, proprietary products. They’re everyday goods, and countless people sell them successfully without feeling threatened.
If the goal is truly to support small sellers and create a thriving community, then collaboration, not control, should be the priority. Otherwise, it becomes clear that the intention isn’t to foster business growth, but to curate a personal space where only certain people are welcome. That’s not entrepreneurship — that’s ego.
