Ms. Linda & Mr. Travis have hospitality down pat. My family & I stopped in at 12:30-1:00am this morning (7/24/2022) to have dinner. As our per usual, we were ready for a turn down of service before we could walk in the door. But as soon as we walked in, Ms. Linda had a wonderful & beautiful smile on her face with a warm welcome-in. We sat down to dine in (yay!) & had a WONDERFUL experience. The food was amazing (and very well missed!) & the hospitality was top notch. As we got to know Ms. Linda, we told her how we came from mableton to Dallas just to try once again get Waffle House for dinner & were ready to be turned away (I’ll explain this below ⬇️) to only have a wonderful, welcoming experience. We couldn’t thank her & Mr. Travis for a great dinner/breakfast & how much we appreciate the hospitality. Ms. Linda, if you’re reading this, you have my family & I as your regulars from here on out. After tonight’s experience, it’s so well worth the drive! Thank you for everything!
**We have been to every single Waffle House & called every single one that is surrounding the mableton area. From Marietta to Douglas, from Smyrna to Hiram. Every time we have went in person & before stepping in the door, we have been turned away & given poor, sorry excuses. (Yes, we understand the demand in the food industry & workforce) When calling to try & place a pick-up, the phone rings til it goes to voicemail. Not very professional of these locations surrounding mableton. Please look into this matter as it has taken us weeks to find a Waffle House that would actually serve us food & with the Dallas location, we hit the jackpot of...
Read moreHorrendous service. Literally just due to one woman who resorted in my rudest encounter ever in a restaurant. Blonde woman was yelling at coworkers from across the restaurant the entire time me and my friends were eating, we couldn’t even think and felt like we were being interrupted by how obnoxiously loud she was being. Then, when paying, we all payed separately and I tipped $2 for my $13 meal which is ~15%. As a broke college student I can’t exactly afford to throw tips around.
Now even if someone doesn’t tip, the workers are 100% in NO RIGHT to berate customers. However, in my case, EVEN WITH my tip, she proceeded to look disgusted at me, goes “eughh…” and then on my way out she talks down on to me for not tipping enough, thanking my friend who tipped more while saying “not any of that $2 nonsense” or something along those lines. Also told me “we don’t do percentages around here” whatever that means. I honestly don’t even usually tip because I can’t afford it, but in this case I only did it because she literally ASKED me to do so before I payed - and even then she still talks down on me?
Genuinely unacceptable. Even if someone doesn’t tip you don’t have the right to talk down, let alone someone who actually does. How the hell did you even hire this woman? Thinking about all the other times she’s likely done things like this. Wish I could have taken my tip back after that.
Would give 0 stars if possible. Ruined my entire night being reminded how rude...
Read moreUpdate: The incident mentioned below was taken care of and the normal 1st shift people are the greatest. The servers, Beth, Chelsea, Karen and Miss Debbie are awesome and give the greatest service around!! I highly recommend coming here for this great team between 7a -2p!!!
So after being out of town for three weeks for work where there is no Waffle House, I get back home and head to my favorite Waffle House. There are 4 workers in there, one asks me if I wanted my order to go and I said no, I’m gonna eat here. At that time, a server I’ve never seen in there starts talking about they’re only doing take out because she was the only one there today? I looked at the 4 of them and said “Nevermind” I’ll just come back later. The unknown server then said they’d be doing a shift change around 9 and to come back then. Amazing folks… the level of “service” provided and they want more...
