Prices are great. No doubt about that. It's clean, bright, and a great looking store. I don't like the fact that I have to bag my own groceries with a cashier checking me out. The cashier started ringing up another customer and ended up pushing his groceries into mine while I'm trying to prevent mine from going into another customer. Its an awkward process that makes me feel rushed to pay and bag while people are behind me and infront.
Selection is very limited. The prices are great but if I can only choose between 2 pasta sauces and 3 keurig varieties of coffee It doesn't end up being a great experience.
The space in the store feels under utilized. The dollar store esque bins is cheap items in the middle is detractive. I would rather have more variety in what I buy than an air compressor or baby robes.
Meat prices are excellent and the meat is fresh. I will come back for certain things but lidl won't be able to steal away all my business from competetors in the area.
Over all I give Lidl a 3 out of 5 for its great prices, cleanliness, and design but detract two for the lack of selection and under...
Read moreGreat service, great prices and most of the products are very good. I have found dates to be much closer to expiration here (some of this is because many of the products aren't from America, so they don't have all the extra processing and bad quality foods that stay good longer). I've found their pork chops to be absolutely disgusting, but so far everything else has been as good or better than anywhere else at fractions of the price and they support NFC at the registers and have self checkout so you don't have to wait in the generally long lines.
I would like to see them steal one thing from their German competitor, Aldi: rental shopping carts. I know it's only a quarter and you get it back, but it creates less work for the employees, lowering prices; and it keeps the parking lots cleaner so you can find a spot easier; plus it reduces the possibility of damage to my car while shopping. I also find they don't have everything I need, so I often still need to go to another store and the only 2 Lidl stores "near me" are a 30 minute driving, so it makes it difficult to want...
Read moreIn-store is nice. It's A LOT better than Aldi. Great bakery and produce, although since they opened only a couple of weeks ago, they were out of several items when I went :-( . They also need more buggies (!!) as there were none available when I went - had to hunt one down in the parking lot. Their private label stuff is fine from what we've tried so far and the prices overall are very good-to-excellent. They tend to put rotating "household items" for sale (non-food items) in the center isles and imo, a lot of it is junk and they could probably be better served using that space for more grocery items. Clean (it's new, of course). Bag your own stuff.
If I could just rate the in-store experience, I'd probably give it 4 1/2 stars if I could. But it's all nearly ruined by the parking lot which isn't great. This location is right in an extremely busy intersection where a major 4 lane traffic road goes from South to North through Cobb and intersects with Powder Springs Road. I mean it's right ON the...
