A Taste of Asia — Restaurant in Powder Springs

Food was very very average, service was an absolute nightmare.

I ordered on GrubHub and was told that my food wouldn't be ready for an hour and a half, so I made a phone call. During my phone call, I get two calls from a number I don't recognize, so I finish my phone call and go to check who called. Immediately I get a call from a different number, a woman telling me to go outside and get my food. I was confused, because GrubHub still showed my food as not being ready yet.

So I go outside and this guy gets out of his car and he just goes OFF on me, yelling about how he's been here for 20 minutes (despite the fact that I'd ordered about 25 minutes ago) and no one answered the door. I apologized and said I wasn't expecting him until later, but he just blew me off, handed me my food, and slammed the door and drove off. About 10 minutes later I get a notification that my food is now on its way.

I'm not really an anxious person but no one has ever yelled at me like that. It was a huge shock. I wasn't even able to eat my food until the next day because it just felt so messed up. I had a lot of guilt about it because the whole experience made me feel like I was this 'problem customer' when I know that what happened was someone at the restaurant's fault.

DONT EAT HERE!!! GO ELSEWHERE! I would give zero if I could. I ordered some food no more than 10 mins ago. And I found hair in my food. Really long black hair. And not just one but a bunch of hair strands. I even took video of. I contacted the store and explained and he keep insisting That I come up to the store and show him. I ordered delivery cause of the weather and there’s no car at my home at the moment and that’s when I asked if I could take a video or picture. Which he allowed. And I sent to his phone directly. I didn’t get any call back. So I called back cause of course I’m not gonna eat it. And I asked nicely what’s gonna be done. And the manger very rudely refused to do anything cause he claimed “he doesn’t have any women working there” which is a lie cause one surly took my order and I’ve ordered there before. He said he doesn’t want my business and he doesn’t care. So now I’m out of food and money. I have short blonde hair and the there’s no way it’s mine. I didn’t get an apology or nothing just plain disrespect. DONT EAT HERE! There are plenty of other better quality food around the corner or down the street from this place. When I'm in the area, this Chinese restaurant is the one I visit. They do deliver. Its a small family owned business. I want to add something: the little boy and girl don't work there. Those kids mother taught them math better by allowing them to sometimes run the cash register. She teaches them well, and helps them with their homework. If the other person observed closer, they would see that. They do have a couple more employees, but as a rule, that family runs that restaurant, and they're decent kind people. I was introduced to them by a good friend who lives in Powder Springs and has been for 40 years. I've been knowing the family since 2012. It's not far from WellStar Hospital and my primary care MD. They have very good spring rolls! Always hot! I usually do lunch. They have very good chicken wings. Lunch is very affordable, and its different because of their menu, which has this deluxe soup that's a meal all by itself. It's further away from where I live, but no more than 10 mins away.
