Horrible service. The manager forgets that she has a job there, which is to help customers and give them their mail (not to be a trouble and return packages back). I went to pick up a package because they don’t have carriers to deliver to physical addresses (USPS Customer Service told me to pick it up and the website/tracking showed the same information), but the manager told me that they return packages when addressees don’t have a POBox. Nowhere/nobody says that you should have a POBox under your name in order to be able to receive a package ANYWHERE in the world, but in Presidio and because the manager says so. If I was there (common sense), the easiest thing was to give the package to me (the addressee), but that didn’t happen. I heard the manager asking for a scanner (because my package was there), and a staff member said she didn’t know where the scanner was. After that, the manager came and repeated me that she returns packages if they don’t have a POB number. I told her that she couldn’t do that, since she had my package there, it was under my name, and I was already there to pick it up (again, as USPS Customer Service had indicated me). Then, she said that they had already returned the package and closed the door. The next day, USPS informed me that my package had been returned (yes, the manager lied to me, she kept my package and returned it until the following day). Now, nobody know where my package is... The sender is supposed to get it back (someday) and I needed the content urgently.
I had already heard that the postal service in Presidio was extremely bad because of the actual manager, but didn’t believe that it could be this bad. They don’t care what the customers are expecting in their mail and, again, they forget that they are there to provide a service and help customers; however, since many people don’t know that they can file a complaint, this person takes advantage of that.
People, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO GET YOUR MAIL NO MATTER WHAT. IF YOUR NAME IS ON A PACKAGE, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO RECEIVE IT. Ask any USPS Customer Service agent and they will answer all of...
Read moreJudging by the low rating, I'm not the only person that's unhappy with this post office. A few years ago they lost a tablet that was shown "delivered" on the tracking data. Long story short, they (who lost or stole it) did nothing to resolve the problem. It's almost as if they blamed me for them having lost it. The customer service lines were just as bad when I called. They stopped answering. As of recently, another item was delivered (according to tracking data) but they cannot tell me where it is. The yellow slip was there but not package. They go through personally changes frequently but all seem to have a very bad sense of obligation and respect to the people they serve. I doubt they're even aware that we (taxpayers) pay their salaries. Overall, I think higher government bodies should step in and investigate what is happening there or at the very least inform them of their actual Job...
Read moreAny tracking info from a shipping source will not be accurate. Presidio post office recieves packages and holds them for a couple of days, but immediately updates tracking info upon receipt to reflect that the package has been delivered. It's bad enough that it takes longer for them to give you your package that they physically have in their possession, but what makes it worse is the fact that they update the tracking info to reflect a lie. Any complaints filed online go directly to the Presidio postmaster and get squashed at the local level. Still trying to find out how to complain AND GET RESULTS on a national level. Have tried speaking to the local post office and have been told the issue is understaffing. That may be true and I understand the challenges of low manpower with minimal staff, but please stop giving inaccurate info to the tracking systems that make me waste my time...
