Big Moose Rental Center — Local services in Priest River

Very unprofessional and rude! We called to rent their mini excavator for a week on Wednesday April 14, 2021 and return on the 21st. When we go to pick it up they told us that we needed to bring it back Friday (which was not our deal) because they rented it out to a crew. Sonny the owner came and made us a deal for the mix up and told us we can have it for a couple days free, then pick it back up on Monday (April 19th) and bring it back Monday the 26th. We go to pick it up and they said we need it back by Friday (again not our deal) the man helping was very rude so we waited for Sonny (the owner) and he said yes he did say Monday to Monday but wanted to go back on our deal because they accused us of not bringing the equipment back until noon when we had it there by 9:15 am! After going back and fourth we decided to take our business else where. We are locals in Priest River and it’s very sad we were treated this way. Not to mention one of the hoses broke when we had it the first day! This isn’t the first time they rented us a piece of junk equipment! First of all I hate leaving a bad review for a local business, but this isn’t the first bad experience I have had. Nor my other family members. There was so much miscommuncation. Which delayed our job and wasted our time. On not one day but two. We called and rented equipment for a Friday evening pick up. Since we needed it early Saturday early morning. We went in on Friday morning to pay and just confirm we were good. As we were heading into CDA afterwards and could have stopped at several other places for equipment. They informed us that they wrote it down for a Friday rental. Not Saturday. They said they’d call and see if they could change it with the other customer. They called us back shortly after and said the customer moved their rental. So we could pick it up Saturday morning or even after hours Friday night. We went in Saturday morning to be told their worker took the equipment home for “Peronsal Use” and it wouldn’t be back till Sunday…… and that “we didn’t...

This is by far the best equipment rental store I've ever been in. Sonny and Brandon are the two nicest guys to deal with. They couldn't be better. In fact, I had come to Idaho to help a friend on her property, and after dealing with Big Moose Rentals, I started thinking of how great it could be to live around there because I'd be able to do everything I'd want to, since they have all the equipment and super fair prices, and they are actually fun to deal with. I liked all the people I met in Idaho. But Big Moose was my favorite place to be. I was only in the state for 5 days but I visited their store at least 4 times. I hope to come back one day, and when I do, I really hope that these guys are still there. They are fantastic. The folks in that area are really lucky...
