Burger Express — Restaurant in Priest River

3 stars for Burger Express. I did read some other reviews and I can validate some of the negativity I read about. I went in 4/24/2021. Ordered $35 worth of food (see attached pictures). Was told to wait at an empty counter. Front counter girl did a good job taking our order and getting us our sauce and drinks. We filled our drinks and went to a table to sit down and wait. The tables were gross. Not wiped down or sanitized at all. The floor was even more gross. The small trash can door had stains all over the front of it. Plenty of seating inside. Bathrooms are small. Waited about 15 min for our food. Fish and chips came in a grease saturated bag upside down. Fish was very chewy which means it was frozen for a long time before they cooked it. Tartar sauce was terrible. Fries were good. Burgers were not bad. Bacon cooked perfectly. All kids and one adult in the kitchen trying to figure things out. Drive thru had 6 vehicles waiting in it. This is the only burger place in Priest River that I know of. Shake are really good but how do you screw up shakes? They had few maintenance issues like broken tables and doors. Parking was no concern. Our only customer service experience was the gal that took our order and...

It's been well over a year since I've been here. Prices have gone up, quality seems to be better. But would encourage some improvements. A new intercom system as I had to repeat myself several times as the server could not hear me. Ordered two Chicken Sandwich combos. Asked for pepper jack cheese on one sandwich and cheddar on the other. I was not told that they didn't have cheddar. I found out after I got my sandwich...I asked the server and she stated...we don't have cheddar...so they added American. Asked for the sandwiches to be deluxed with pickles. They added pickles but veggies were not deluxed. Asked for shakes. They were made before the food and were sitting in the sun filled window on a 90 degree day....so they were very melty. Also, make sure you know you are charged for any sauces...even thought you order a bucket of fries...no sauce is offered...you have to pay for any sauce. I can go to the Settlement and for a smidge more get three burgers with fries and sauce for the same price. Better quality and I don't have to pay for the standard sauce that...

We stopped to grab some food before going camping. My hubby and I decided to just get a burger- which was actually good, and a couple waters. They charged us for the two fountain waters. ALOT!! What should have been uner $10 was $14 plus.. after paying I realized what was going on and we brought it up. Yes, we always charge for water. We knew this person didn't know what they were talking about but we aren't ones to start anything. Took our stuff and went outside. 3 other family members were after us and as one was going to order we advised them not get water as they charge. Someone I guess came out and relieved the person saying they do not charge after over hearing my daughter say " then how come they charged my parents? No apology!!! We were still just sitting outside. 😐 we have been there a few times before but...
