There are discrepancies between online and physical inventories which can lead to heartburn. But if they are out of something they typically have it in back.

One tip* Sometimes they will be out of something on the shelf and when you ask if they have it in back they will immediately say “we’re out of that” without actually looking.

Make sure to have them go check in back.

99% of the time they will gruff about it, but when they actually go in back they will find it.

You have to be persistent though!!! If you don’t understand take a look their stockroom as they go in back. I don’t blame them for not wanting to go look. I wouldn’t want to go back there either. Stuff is piled everywhere.

One last comment about organization and cleanliness. Sometimes this store is immaculate. The floors are clean and the shelves the stocked. But most of the time it is in a state of disarray. Especially the clothing section. Don’t be surprised to see piles of clothes on the floor like there is a teenager living there who is waiting for their mom to tell them to...

We usually get our chicks and ducks here. We only had one experience so far when we had called a day prior asking when the next chick shipment came in, and they told us they’d be getting some the next day. We showed up an hour before the store opened because they had told us it’s always busy on the first day of ChickDays. We went inside and they told us they had none coming that day. Unfortunately we had to take our business elsewhere, but did end up getting chicks the same day at a different place up north. Looking to get some ducklings soon and hoping we’re able to without any inconveniences this year. Overall it’s a good store, just be prepared for them to sell out of certain breeds pretty quickly. Especially silkies (when they do have them) and other “special” breeds. Ducklings also come unsexed, so if you want all females you’ll have to just stick to chickens. I tried to place a special order with the Prior Lake location. The manager said "if it is not on our website, we can not order it for you". He flat out refused to assist. I called the manufacturer, they told me that Tractor Supply not only does it everyday nationally, but that TSC is their largest customer. I then worked with the Tractor Supply location in Inver Grove Heights. Jasmine got it done. With the Prior Lake location, I couldn't believe how difficult it was to try to spend $600.00.
