CVS — Local services in Prospect

This has to be the worst pharmacy is Connecticut! I am a former customer of Prospect Pharmacy. When they closed, their customers were transferred to CVS. Getting a Rx filled is always a hassle. I can understand the seriousness of drug abuse. However, the last time I was ill I had to wait 4 days before they would fill my Rx. I was told they had to check my doctor's DEA. Then they had to get insurance approval. Nothing but a lot of red tape. They had no consideration for the fact that I was sick. By the time I received the medication, I really didn't need it. I went through night without sleeping due to the wheezing in my chest. At this time I am waiting for another Rx. I've been waiting since Tuesday. The first time I called I was told that they were waiting for insurance approval. Today I was told it was out of stock and they could only provided a partial amount. Really??? You knew about this two days ago. Then I was ask if it was going thru workman's comp. Totally incompetent!!! I will never allow my doc to send another Rx to them. I used them becasue I needed the convience of a drive-thru due to double knee replacement. I when and if I get this new Rx, this is it. I will NEVER go...

Deserves zero stars!!!! ABSOLUTE WORST pharmacy I’ve ever been to. 10/10 times, my prescriptions are NEVER ready. Every single time a prescription is sent over, it is NEVER filled unless I call multiple times to get the ball moving. If there is an issue with one of my prescriptions going through, they don’t even think to notify me or my doctor to get it resolved- it just sits there for days pending! They almost always never have the medications I need, and even in emergency situations (I can’t breathe), it still takes days and days for them to get my prescriptions filled. Sometimes by the time the prescriptions are finally ready, I don’t even need them anymore! At times I have received text messages saying my prescriptions were ready, but when I went there to pick up, I was told I still needed to wait up to 30 minutes for them. The WORST thing that ever happened was that they once gave me the COMPLETELY WRONG prescription! What is...

This pharmacy is 30 seconds from my house, but I’ll drive 20 minutes out of my way down to Cheshire to get good service. If you need a prescription in a timely manner, don’t bother with the Prospect CVS. If your life depended on your meds, don’t bother with the Prospect CVS.

After multiple tries at this CVS, my final straw was waiting over an hour on the phone on hold, driving over because I needed my prescription & seeing the three pharm techs laughing, chatting & having a great ol’ time, & the woman working the front was very rude. The time before, I waited 45 minutes in line in the drive through & the tech shut the window on the car in front. There were still cars behind me as well. Twice when I needed meds before travel, they were also out of stock...
