Brunch House — Restaurant in Prospect

I travel a lot through the state for work, so I randomly find little places. That is how I came across Brunch house. When you are coming into the parking lot, it doesn't look like much, but when you come in.. it's a very relaxed atmosphere and you can tell they are popular as people come and go as you are sitting here. It's clean with fresh decor. Staff is fast and smiley with a laid back personality, as I'm done with my meal I'm not feeling rushed out which is nice as I totally overate.

I always order a little of this and that, I got the baconado omelet minus Tomatoes, a side of bacon and strawberry Nutella crepes which I should have as I'm allergic to strawberries and tomatoes but I couldn't help myself.

The omelet was perfect, the flavor profile was lovely the amount of avocado, bacon and spinach with the cheese was perfect and nothing overpowered the other.

The same goes for the crepes with Nutella and strawberries.. the strawberries chosen foe topping was ripe without being over ripe or mushy. They didn't overdo the amount of powdered sugar or Nutella.

Two small personal preferences would have been a tad crispier crepes and the bacon fried on a skillet instead of what i suspect was the deep fryer, I don't like when the bacon gets brittle like that and the flavor changes to more oily than bacon.

But I will for sure be back, this was amazing and the price is more than fair for the quality of food.

Genuine place that treats its customers like humans. I have come here regularly now and have had serval experiences that prove my point. Went there yesterday and she approached me sweetly and said that they had a big order for catering and needed to slow down the orders in the restaurant and I told her I don’t mind waiting because I loved how she communicated and was very honest so I wasn’t wasting time if I hadn’t had the time to wait. Few minutes later came over and asked if we wanted to sit at a table again with the understanding they would bring drinks now and orders of food delayed. Sitting at the table gave me an opportunity to have my toddler twins color while we waited and I didn’t even bother looking to see what I wanted because I thought there would be a long wait. To my pleasant surprise she came back very shortly after to take our order, pretty much no wait so I scrambled and picked the steak and eggs which I really enjoyed. Not overly seasoned and cooked perfectly. My husband always gets the Reuben and he is always happy. Not on the menu per say but my kids love the pancakes with bananas cooked in them, I always ask for mocha in my iced coffee. We are now regular customers. My review is based on 3 times of going there. They food was good, but the server was awful . On three separate occasions, we went there, and all three times something was forgotten or we were ignored. The first time we were seated by hostes and people came after us and got their drinks and food before we even got our drinks, the second time was never asked if we wanted more to drink or to even check if everything was OK. This last time today, people who came after us sat before us and served their drinks and food before us. Another couple came 15 min after we had ordered our drinks and food, and they were served before us. My husband went up to what we think is the owner and complained, and it seems it didn't matter to her. Although she apologized to us, this was the third time this happened.
