Goodwill Store & Donation Center — Local services in Proviso Township

I had got this kids set that was hung up together a shirt and matching skirt I took it to check out and I kept saying it was a two piece set. Just continues to ignore me and looking for a price on the skirt. I said it’s 7 dollars I wouldn’t buy it if it was just a girl shirt for $7.00. He bundles the skirt and puts it away but leaves the supposed $7 girl shirt like sir I’m not getting a $7.00 kids shirt. Then he overscans an item I tell him. He says no he didn’t I say yes and he continues to say no. I pay and I step to the side I check each item and guess what? He overcharged me an extra item (mega eye roll) it’s $2 I have my kids I just leave. This also happened to me last time I was overcharged for an item. (Mega eye roll) super annoyed. Next visit I’m placing 1 item at a time at checkout because I’m going to goodwill...

Review for Damien (DJ) at Goodwill

I love shopping at Goodwill because the prices are always great, and the store maintains consistent, fair pricing. What makes the experience even better is Damien (DJ). He does an excellent job organizing the shelves and keeps the store tidy, but what really stands out is his friendly and welcoming attitude. He makes everyone feel comfortable—even making a shy person (or a "small little child," as you charmingly put it) feel at ease.

Damien has great potential within the company. He’s always looking for ways to improve, and his communication skills are outstanding. I’d love to see him given more opportunities, like working at the register or even advancing to higher roles—he’d excel in any position!

Keep up the amazing work, Damien! You’re a huge asset...

Overpriced for broken items, inexperienced manager, sometimes this place is total chaos. Asked if I could buy a poster without the frame and was told no. So, pay for a $6.99 broken frame with no glass, just so i can leave the frame, for you to resell? Thanks, but no thanks.

Update: Accidentally gave them my contact lenses and it took 4 people to check for them and they were about to tell me that it was going to take 2 weeks and a return form for someone to get them back to me. I don't understand how this place became such a horrible place to shop and to donate to. Every time I think I am fed up with this place, I go back, but this is the last time. I can't believe it takes 4 people to check a bin for something that wasn't supposed to be donated and the store...
