SK Barbershop — Local services in Proviso Township

Was looking for a local place that offers a nice cut, and an overall positive experience.

Saw some reviews of SK barbershop on yelp, and I decided to give it a shot. Nice to go to a place that doesn't pattern itself after an ice cube movie.... to each their own as I say.

Sam is a mellow fellow and I like that. He listens when you speak regarding your expectations, and offers constructive feedback. He listened to me ramble on about my house projects and that alone gives him a star !

The cut is fantastic, and the relaxed atmosphere and really neat and clean appearance made me feel very comfortable.

I have found my new barbershop, and it is in the town I live in. It is a win win in my book Thanks Sam and see you...

I would give 0 stars if i could. Told him to keep length on the part, shaves the whole side of my head. Told him just clean up the top, 1/2inch, no more than an inch, takes off 2 to 3 inches. Told him it was a soft part after we had this issue the first time i went there, asks me if i want a hard part, tells me i have a hard part, i know how my hair's cut. I do not have a hard part. Basically have to shave my head now. Wedding in 2 days. Thanks SK Barbershop! Do not go here. Better off throwin $20 in the sewer and cuttin ur hair urself. It will almost certainly...

Had a hard time getting thru to the lady that cut my hair ...I wanted the sides faded ...very little off of the top ..I thought it to be a very standard haircut/style ....she then cut all of hair shorter than I wanted ...the hair that forms my cowlick at the top leftside of my head was about 4 1/2 to 5 inches thick..allowing me to style it ...it's about a 1/4 inch long now ...why ? I mean all she had to do was follow the lengths of my hair ..if it was short ..cut it shorter ..if it was long ...take a little off ...I...
