Park is of great vendors, covid practices working well, it's a buyer's market, get there early for best choices and to beat 85 degree temps. South side of freeway at normal levels, north side is a ghost down due to economic conditions caused by govt. How is it Chinese product stores are all open 24/7 and american mom and pop businesses all closed. Join the national general strike to end the china trade in USA. Enough corporate & politician greed. Friday night is national bonfire night. Get with your neighbours and have a bonfire of made in china products and discuss dissolving congress till we can have an honest election in person only with finger ink so nobody can vote twice. The general strike must last until we have a new election. Every friday from now on is burn chinese products till we get a new election. No violence is necessary during a general strike. Use all the technics you have learned as union members to shut down the sales and transportation system spreading chinese corruption...

February 2023 The main show was over and many vendors had already left and headed to Tucson for the next show. No problem, because there were plenty of vendors to visit. We spent two days and didn't cover it all. There are many unique gems stones, rocks, pieces, sculptures, etc. There may be some great deals. We saw maybe a few good deals and passed on much because pricing has gone up (yeah, I know - like everything else - but you can't live under a gemstone or eat it - only look at it). My wife picked up some nice rose quartz and a bracelet and I got the coolest smoky quartz and a magnet belt that is supposed to cure my lower back pain. If it doesn't work - I will definitely post all about it here and on the company's website. To be fair - if it does work, I will give it equal coverage on that. (I'm desperate for the pain relief.) We (RV) camped on BLM land about 3 miles west of town. Very quiet, peaceful - and there were a whole lot of...

This annual gem show in Quartzite is awesome and a rare chance for shoppers to purchase large amethyst, crystal, fossils, and other exotic stones and minerals at wholesale prices. Best selection of upper end pieces is found at Tyson Wells. Think 4 foot amethyst cathedral geodes for $900 to $1200; retail these go for $3-4K. Similarly attractive prices for smaller pieces. Arrive early in the show, negotiate hard (prices can be bargained down another 5-15%), and bring cash for increased negotiating leverage. Equally good prices at on lesser quality pieces that are...

If you love rocks and gems and fossils, this is the place to go. There were tons of vendors who had set up shop from lots of different places, and they were all lovely to talk to. Prices range from very cheap to "holy hell no way" and everything in-between, all depending on your tastes. We did not feel the pressure to buy from anyone which is always appreciated. Most vendors could take credit and debit cards but cash is king here so come with actual money if you don't want to create a headache or possibly lose out on a deal.

I went to the Thai food truck towards the back row in Desert Gardens today. I got green curry chicken, steamed rice, and a Thai iced tea for $16. I was transported back to Thailand. This food is authentic! I put a generous amount in my Corelle meal bowl and there is enough left over for 2 or 3 more meals.
