Dusty desert with incredible sunsets, who could ask for more? Ha ! People call it a tourist trap, i call it a little town with a huge seasonal influx. Sure, the prices are higher for foods and eateries, but, it's a strain on resources and the infrastructure, busy highway interstate 10 goes through it adding to the traffic. The locals are friendly, I've noticed that the Laid Back Arizona state of mind has eroded somewhat due to people driving way over the speed limit, sometimes rude, displays of entitlement and just negative. Being from the northeast, i love Quartzsite so i don't have to do winters or heavy snow. Tfe LTVA places here are doing the best they can to accommodate people. Seriously, it's 180.00 for seven months which includes trash disposal, water spigots and dumping stations, yet some people can't help but complain.... Where else can you park for 7 months for 180.00 ??? Parker retail treks are approximately 36 miles each way.
