I used to love Punjab Cafe. My boyfriend introduced it to me and it was my first Indian cuisine experience. It blew my mind and ever since then, at least in the New England area, I never had Indian food that was more subtly delicious than Punjab. I was spoiled!! However, this year when the few times I returned, the same dishes we used to get didn’t taste the same as before. They were still good, but it’s as fewer ingredients were used to save budget. Neither my boyfriend nor I said anything, until today, we discovered that we’re feeling the exact same way. How funny, taste buds don’t lie!!! Punjab has been one of the few places we feel so enthusiastic to back to. The food isn’t cheap, but we’re always willing to go enjoy a meal as a treat to ourselves. Please please, I hope it stays as a place that guarantees an experience of content and happiness. There’re too many restaurants out there don’t know what they’re doing! You will still find it a great restaurant. Service is excellent. Im giving 3 stars hoping this review will be seen by...

Been here twice and it's a hidden gem! Been trying to find a really good Indian food place in/around Boston that's affordable and this hit the mark! Very nice spacious place inside with dim lighting and attentive servers. Portions are decent for the price but the flavor is the best I've tasted in Boston so far. I always get the Saag Aloo (Spinach & Potatoes), Lamb Korma, and Chicken Tikka Misala. All three dishes come with their own portion of rice.

  1. Saag Aloo is amazing! Not too oily, all components are mixed well, and flavor is wonderful. The dish could have more potatoes though. Would definitely recommend.
  2. Lamb Korma - was a little disappointed they didn't have coconut milk as an ingredient which would make it even more creamier and tastier. But it's still pretty good. Lamb is tender and they provide a decent amount. Flavor is good and not too overwhelming. Goes well with the Saag Aloo.
  3. Chicken Tikka Misala - loved how you could taste the other spices other than just tomato sauce. It wasn't too oily and...

Great indian lunch buffet, probably one of the best indian food spots around Boston. It is pretty moderately priced ($13.5 inclusive of taxes) for all-you-can-eat meal. Impressive things:

  1. they serve fresh butter naans to each table, so you get to eat fresh naan instead of stale naan compared to other buffet places
  2. Vegetarian and meat sections are different
  3. Limited number of dishes, but they all are pretty great in taste
  4. Two desserts (usually I have seen only one at most of the places)
  5. great, quick and friendly staff

Menu when I visited: Green chutney, boondi raita, sweet tamarind sauce, pickled veggies Vegetarian samosa Mix vegetarian pakora Saag spinach (Best dish in my opinion) Daal tadka Shahi paneer Bhindi masala Steamed white rice Chicken seekh kebab Chicken tandoori Chicken tikka masala Goat curry Gulab jamun Rice kheer pudding

I would definitely love to visit this place again soon,...

#Indian #great food #quincymassachussetts. I#IndianIy enjoyed a fantastic dining experience at Punjab Cafe in Quincy, Massachusetts. The restaurant is family-owned and has a cozy and inviting atmosphere, and the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. Now, let's talk about the food. The garlic naan was absolutely delicious and some of the best I’ve ever had. The spices in the chicken Jalfrezi were expertly balanced, creating a flavorful and satisfying dish that I highly recommend. And if you’re looking for a great deal, make sure to check out the weekend buffet! Punjab Cafe is open seven days a week from 11:30 am - 2:30 pm and also from 4:00 pm - 9:30 pm, so there are plenty of opportunities to check them out. Don't miss their website at www.punjabcafe.com for more information. Overall, I had an exceptional dining experience at Punjab Cafe and I'm already looking forward to my next visit. Highly recommended!"

Had a pretty good lunch at Punjab Cafe. You are allowed to park in the parking lot next door, which is shared with the liquor store. The inside is spacious with lots of tables, but I did takeout. The ordering process was straightforward, and the person working at the front was friendly. The portions for the appetizers were good for the price, but I felt like the main dishes were expensive at ~$20 each. The garlic naan was okay. The naan was a bit tough and could have been more garlic-y. The samosas were okay as well. I liked the sauce that came with them; almost like a sweet BBQ sauce. The chicken in both the murgh makhani (butter) chicken and chicken saag was tender, and the sauces were flavorful but too salty on their own. I also felt like medium was too mild of a spice level, so I wish I went hotter. Overall, it was a solid meal. Just some minor tweaks would have made this a five.
