Stopped by Dick’s Sporting Goods in Quincy, Illinois while I was in town and wanted to check out their camping gear and especially all things YETI. I’m a big fan of the brand and was hoping to see if they had one of their YETI camp chairs in stock. Spoiler: they didn’t — but that’s about the only thing they didn’t have.
The store itself is laid out well, super clean, and the staff was friendly, helpful, and polite without being pushy. That’s a win in my book. They’ve got a huge wall of YETI gear — tumblers, coolers, jugs, bottles — you name it. If you’re into YETI like I am, this store delivers. Just wish they had the YETI Trailhead or Hondo chairs in stock, but it’s possible they were just sold out at the time.
Camping section was solid. Plenty of tents, sleeping bags, and outdoor accessories. If you’re heading out on a trip and forgot something, this would be a good one-stop shop to grab last-minute gear. They’ve also got all the usual Dick’s gear — workout stuff, team sports gear, golf, fishing, footwear, you name it. It’s a proper full-service sporting goods store.
I snapped a few pics while I was there — that wall of YETI stuff alone was worth it.
All in all, a great experience. If I ever needed anything and I was in Quincy again, I’d definitely swing...
Read morePlease do not seek bike repair here. They quoted me a price and it turned out to be $50 more than they quoted. No one called to verify this with me so they forced me into having to pay the difference. When I questioned the pricing the girl at the front then dismissed me and evaded looking at me or acknowledging I was even speaking to her. She was very rude to me and continued to ignore me. She was mad that she even had to help me with the bike purchase in the first place. I called to speak to a manager and they were unwilling to work with me at all about the pricing or to actually take responsibility for any of it. I could’ve bought a new bike with how much they charged me to fix a tire. The price difference could’ve paid for an entire tank of gas. Corporate America is a joke and they do no care about you or your needs. I’ll stick with small/local businesses. They put forth the effort to make sure their customers leave satisfied. I don’t enjoy posting this stuff but I want people aware of the way they...
Read moreI went in to purchase a new pair of shoes, Adidas Ultraboost & some Under Armour were on my list to try on in hopes of one of them being the shoe. To say that I'm disappointed in the women's shoe selection is an understatement. There was ONE aisle dedicated to women. That's all. The rest were dedicated to mens. They didn't have any Under Armour, Adidas Ultraboost, or others for women to try on. But you can purchase and ship to store without trying them on. I had a handful of items and put them all back because I didn't get my main purchase. I won't be...
