I have been going to this place Since they 1st opened up back in 2002-2003. I have given them my business quite often and very frequently. Loyalty is the word I would use for this Restaraunt when it comes to myself and others who knew good food. My Only 3 complaints, One of which being very critical, the shrimp next to the chicken and broccoli it should not be there. numerous times ive seen the shrimp in the chicken and broccoli and certain people are allergic to seafood, myself included. 2nd is the habachi grill. Ever since I can remember I would come in and get specific non fish Sushi made becauee i cannot have seafood, The original person that would do this no longer works there sad to say.. But now it is a struggle and a hassle to even get what I used to have already made and available on the platters made when I come in. Usually it is a no I'm busy right now or a no I cannot do it. That is not good business etiquette! The last and final problem I have with this place now, Is the price. The lunch special is supposed to be $9.98 after tax. for dinner special $12.14 after tax. They raised the price $1.34 cents. For most of you reading this it may seem very insignificant, But to people like me this is a very problematic thing. Why would you change the price for the same quality of food, rather lesser i should say because the quality is pretty shotty these days and not as good. Sad to say but best buffet is no longer the "best" buffet. It would be the equivalent of what lins garden buffet use to be. This company will be losing my business. Very outraged and...
Read moreIt's the same food that's at literally every other Chinese buffet in the Midwest. The first time I went here the food was not awesome with a lot of stuff having obviously spent some time in the steam tables. This time was better, stuff was fresher and more selection of entrees. Kinda leery of the warm sushi...I passed but the hubs likes to live on the edge and ate it. He didn't spend all night on the toilet so I guess it was fine. Indifferent servers; they weren't outright rude but I wouldn't describe them as pleasant. I'm a slow eater and I felt "GTFO" energy way before I was done despite there being many other empty tables. Guess we were the last table in her area at the end of her shift? The saving grace is the cashier who is always friendly. Tabletops, booths and food areas have been clean both times I have been here but the rest gives off vibes of having previously been a 1978 bingo hall and they never washed the nicotine off the walls. IMO the buffet in Hannibal is much better but this suffices if you don't feel...
Read moreWe haven't been there for months so it was a shock to learn of new management. We did not like the new setup at all. They got rid of alot of american food so its not kid friendly at all. Even if we wanted to go back we would not be able to as a family. The chicken on a stick looks like it has turned and the egg rolls are nasty now. Not fresh at all. No cabbage in them. They got rid of the pizza and garlic bread and mashed potatoes which was what my sons would eat. And they are skimping on the strawberry sauce for the bananas. They're now sad bananas. And the salad bar was just not what it was. This used to be our favorite place to eat. Needless to say we will not be going back. And yes i get that its Chinese so i shouldn't complain about there being no American food but its not worth us going there if there's nothing for my kids to eat. They need to get the old...
