I've been a local Palmer client for many many years, I've seen this place grow from nothing to what it is now. The only downfalls are that they close way too early especially during the weekends and holidays and that they just recently removed the chairs and tables where we, "the locals", used to sit to have drinks and smoke for many many years, I guess they want us to sit and buy overpriced drinks at the bar or overpriced bland food at the restaurant instead of the convenience shop...or perhaps gentrification is kicking locals out just like they did...
Read moreConvenient convenience store at least from Wyndham etc up the hill. Turning in and exiting may be rattling as traffic is heavy and the road is very narrow. Road to El Yunque is across the street so...However from liquor to licorice and some staples and food items are available at decent prices. Again a refreshing change from people on the mainland. Social atmosphere is direct, friendly and positive. Oh, did I mention bilingual (Spanish/English) is the norm for seemingly the entire island. If you know Spanish they appreciate it immensely...
Read moreFirst time going to this liquor store. Our first stop on the way to our airbnb. It's pretty congested there the parking was terrible. I guess at the end of the liquor store there's a bar. They're playing music and having drinks looks like they were having a really good time. So I guess they share the same parking lot. The liquor store itself was just okay. None of us could find any of our drinks that we normally drink and one of the ladies wanted to do some bartender drinks that she was familiar with and she couldn't find Hardley...
