We had a service call on our washing machine. We waited months for a part that never came in and when it did, they said they wont sell it to us! I assume their service man is too lazy or incompetent to remove the dryer tub to get to the blower motor, so they denied us service. After the service call The serviceman told us he would send us a copy of the bill and what the amount was for the part when he got to the store. That never happened. After making weekly calls for months, we were denied speaking with a manager, the staff would never identify themselves, then after months of waiting the young girl said "we have the part but we're not giving it to you." I was shocked, I guess I am guilty of calling to get the dryer fixed which belonged to my son with small children and both he and his wife have jobs which require multiple clothing changes per day. I expressed to them that my husband had just donated about $1100 in NEW parts to some CAFE appliances we no longer had, in hopes of encouraging a "small business," she said she did not care. I asked for a refund on my service call as she would not give me the receipt, nor the part number so we could get it fron elsewhere, she hung up on me. Im truyly unsure of why I paid for a service call that I received no service for and NO part number was given. This was not just one young girl, but multiple. Read moreAwful customer service. I am a business owner myself and I have been doing business with APS for years. When dealing with Scott (the owner) things are usually handled professionally, but my last experience was terrible. I bought a refrigerator for one of my business's and with 6 months the refrigerator went out (no problem it was used.) When I called to get things repaired on my refrigerator, the young lady that answered the phone was immediately confrontational and acted as if I never bought the refrigerator from them. After several minutes the young lady at APS called me back and told me that she found record that I was in fact right about purchasing the refrigerator but said "Oh well $45 for us to come out." I asked the young lady a few questions on the phone and her reply continued to be "oh well $45." I ended up getting the refrigerator serviced by somebody else and it went out again so I decided to pay the store a visit. The red head young lady told me that the owner was out of town and she was the owners daughter and of course she had that same nasty attitude. The young lady also said the caller threatened to slap her but this was untrue because I'm the person that called. After years of doing business with this place , I would never step another foot in there or recommend that anyone else. Read moreRead moreUPDATE 1/23/2021 Our original purchase was made on 1/30/2020 and we purchased the 1 year warranty for $50.00 The machine failed mid December 2020 and it took APS Appliances until January 21, 2021 to rectify the problem! AN ENTIRE CALENDAR MONTH!!! And their customer service skills are in the toilet. Just because this company sells used (recycled/refurbished) appliances doesn't give them the privilege to use vulgar language in their conversation a with their customers. And, the "Warranty" is not in print and provided to the customer contrary to federal law. So, it's subject to the store's interpretation at that point in time. BUYER BEWARE!!! It was our experience that as a consumer, you better know what you are shopping for because the staff can't tell you. We had questions about the features of the item we were interested in but they couldn't answer them. All they could tell us was about the repairs that had been done to get the item on the floor along with the cost and delivery date. We had to Google everything else for ourselves.
