North Shore Beach in Racine, WI, is a true hidden gem that offers a perfect escape right on the shores of Lake Michigan! With its expansive sandy shoreline, it’s the ideal spot for sunbathing, swimming, or simply enjoying the stunning views of the lake.

As soon as you step onto the beach, you’re greeted by soft, golden sand that feels wonderful beneath your feet. The beach is well-maintained, making it a pleasant place to relax and unwind. There’s plenty of space to spread out, whether you’re looking to set up a beach towel, bring a picnic, or just enjoy a good book under the sun.

One of the best things about North Shore Beach is the vibrant atmosphere. It’s a popular spot for both locals and visitors, which creates a lively, fun environment. You’ll often find families playing beach volleyball, children building sandcastles, and groups enjoying beach games. The energy is infectious, making it a great place to socialize or meet new people.

The swimming area is well-marked, and the water is typically clean and refreshing, perfect for cooling off on a hot summer day. Lifeguards are on duty during peak hours, providing an extra layer of safety for families with kids.

For those looking for a bite to eat or a refreshing drink, there are nearby concessions and food trucks that offer a variety of snacks and beverages, from ice cream to beach-friendly meals. It’s convenient to grab something to enjoy while lounging on the sand.

Additionally, the scenic views of the lake during sunrise are absolutely breathtaking. It’s a lovely spot to take a leisurely stroll along the shoreline or simply sit back and admire the beauty of nature as the sun rises over the water.

Overall, North Shore Beach is a fantastic destination for anyone looking to enjoy a day by the water in Racine. With its sandy shores, vibrant atmosphere, and beautiful surroundings, it’s an ideal spot for relaxation and fun. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, a trip to North Shore...

Surprisingly North Beach is actually quite nice. The beach is pretty, they have music, they have volleyball, there's a nice playground for the kiddies and even a large concession hut.

If you choose to visit Racine you really ought to visit the zoo and if the weather permits the beach. Even if the weather is crazy outside.....I'm talking thunderstorms & lightning....the whole shebang, it's really cool. I'll confess I actually love visiting the beach during Wicked storms. The main reason I decided to review this beach is to give swimmers a warning however.

Allow me to tell you a little story, a story on how I almost drowned last year. I took swimming lessons as a child and was at the Head of the Class. For years I was a very strong swimmer. After not having swam for at least 10 years, I decided to swim with a pretty lady friend of mine. I swam out further than I should have. I started to tire. Unbeknownst to me I partially entered a Riptide. I struggled mightily not realizing I was in said Riptide. After a few minutes I asked her for help but she was too far away and actually thought I was joking. I had tired so much that I just went under. Luckily I'm tall. The water almost came past my nostrils....had I been three or four inches shorter I would have been jumping up off the bottom certainly but I may have drowned. If you swim at North Beach be wary of swimming close to the north beach pier, it is a notorious place...

Racine's North Beach is the bomb! Racine's beach is groomed daily by the parks dept. They have big ride on machines, tractor style which grooms and picks up any foreign objects from the sand. Our beach is the cleanest in Wisconsin! Racine's North Beach also has a great business called The Oasis. The Oasis works out of the front area of the historic beach shower building. They offer food, beer, wine, mixed drinks as well as ice cream novelties. The food is absolutely fantastic with Italian beef sandwiches, brats, burgers, salads, and much more. Oh and there are live bands every weekend. There are palm trees set out at the Oasis and out in the sand. There are huge hammocks and chairs put out everyday. There are also volleyball nets up, corn hole put out and many children's games. We spend a good deal of time at the Oasis in the summer with friends checking out the band's. There are great bands down there. We live up the hill from the beach so it's easy for us to just walk on down. Racine's North...
