The prices are reminiscent of the old St. Vincent in Kenosha back in 2010ish, near the KKHC. They actually grasp the concept of"thrift store", and the atmosphere was mostly enjoyable I have a few complaints. One, the cashier was having a conversation with someone through her Air Pods during the entire transaction. This made it very confusing, and it was also inappropriate Second, while there were signs advertising green tags as "half off", nothing of mine was actually rung up as half off. I didn't notice this until I got home. I have a 35 minute dive, the gas isn't worth the drive back to correct it. Maybe if she was not having a conversation, she would've made sure I was charged correctly. And lastly, there was a furniture set that had just come in. It was not yet priced. When asking at the front what the price was, I was shocked to find it wasn't off from what I'd pay for something decently on sale at a discount furniture store. When I said thank you, and that I wasn't interested, I was offered an additional $49 off, and put on the spot whether I would take it or not. After explaining that I'd need to talk to my husband - she seemed annoyed, stating that it was in great shape - and if you broke down the price per piece I'd be getting a great deal. While not entirely wrong, I'm shopping there because I need more than just a great deal - I'm below the poverty level. I'm not shopping...
Read moreI took 2 Van fulls of donations to this store within the last 2 weeks. The first load I took the employees were so appreciative and couldn't believe that I brought so many brand new items. The second load I took, I was met with a person named Brandy. Who decided to start sorting through my donation and picking out what she wanted for the store. She told me They only had so much room in their garbage. I have photographs of what I was donating, a kirby vacuum cleaner, brand new items in the packages, toys for children, and some decorative items for the home, as well as a box full of jewelry. I will never donate to this organization again. I used to have the truck Pick up the boxes from my home. And those gentlemen never stopped and dug through every box to decide what they wanted for the store. And what they wanted to throw in the garbage. I was really taken aback. I have donated to the organization for many many years. And I will never ever ever ever donate again please take your...
