I ordered a steak egg (scrambled hard) and cheese sandwich for my girl and I. When I got to the register the lady confirmed the order was for 2 steak egg and cheese sandwiches. When I got home I notice they gave me bacon egg and cheese sandwiches with wet eggs. I called to let them know the situation and whoever the man was I spoke to was rude and made it seem like I was trying to get free food or something. He told me they heard the order wrong that’s why it happened but the lady confirmed it was correct (steak) at the counter. Then he told me bring the food back today or else I don’t get anything today. I told him I didn’t intend on going back today because I was in a rush and had important things to do. He told me I can only receive one credit for a sandwich when I paid for 2 sandwiches and not to mention I’m allergic to pork. If I was to eat that sandwich I would have had to go to the ER. I don’t recommend going to this place unless you like to be told one thing and gave another. So disappointed the way the situation was handled and the way whoever the man who answered the phone handle the situation. I spent my hard earn money there for no reason. I didn’t...
Read moreThe Sausage Kitchen has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I literally grew up with it..my mom lived on the street behind it, and my dad lived on the street in front, so every weekend switching between homes meant one thing: we were stopping at the Sausage Kitchen.
As a kid, I’d walk up there with my little change jar, always on the hunt for snacks, and it was always the same warm, welcoming experience. Back when Dave owned it and now with Chris running the show, it still holds that same cozy, family-owned feel. They remember their regulars, they treat everyone like family, and that kind of genuine hospitality is rare these days.
What I love is that they haven’t changed much, no big corporate vibes, no flashy overhauls—just good food, good people, and a place that feels like home. Their deli, their snacks, the food , everything is delicious and made with care.
The Sausage Kitchen will always have a special place in my heart, and I’ll always recommend it to anyone looking for quality food and a local spot that actually...
Read moreThe best Breakfast sandwich around. I usually get the Steak, egg and cheese sandwich on Italian bread. It’s exactly as described. NO onions or any kind of sauce on it. It’s toasted, buttery and delicious. If you want hash browns with it you’ll have to order it separately. An order of Hash browns comes with 2 Hash Brown triangles. I order them extra crispy, otherwise normally they have a slight crisp to them. I ordered online to pick it up once and when I arrived one the workers kindly let me know that if I pay for it online it usually costs more but if I call them an order ahead of time or order while I’m there it’ll be less money out of my pocket. I...
