COURA African Hair Braiding — Local services in Radcliff

Honestly this started out okay until, the person braiding my hair left and her sister started working on my hair. The only thing left was the top portion of my head. The original braider started and finished another head before her sister finished the top of my head. The sister had a hard time parting as the owner and the original braider kept coming back over to help her out. I can usually keep braids in for a minimum 6 weeks. I’m barely pushing 4 weeks and my knotless braids are pretty much done. On top of taking WAY longer than expected it was clear miscommunication between the owner and the Original braider on price. I was quoted $180 if I brought my own hair. I did that, only reaching mid back and she wanted $200. Cash only is the policy, so I had to leave get the cash and come back. This was my first time here and I don’t think I will be back. Maybe if the original braider finished the work all the way through, but my braids on top look a mess that her sister did.

I'm giving one star because of stylist attitude doing the beginning and end process. I not happy with style it not what I asked for... I was going to get human hair she advise against it. She later say I was luck she did it because she hates doing twist. I can tell it's not what I wanted it to look like (pictures below) . She seem rushed in the process of doing my hair. I feel Iike I was over charge because the style wasnt done correctly.

I called the number listed when you hit the "call" button in Google. Come to find out, it belongs to another salon because I tried it again. With all that said, when I arrived, I found out I did not have an appointment with Coura. However, she fit me into her schedule and I soooo appreciate her for doing that. She was so kind even in a stressful situation...her other braids specialist went into labor the day before, so she was working both sets of clients. She was fast and my hair looks amazing. Instead of driving to Louisville to get my hair braided, I've found my new braiding spot. Great...
