My mom had the most horrifying experience at Penn Radnor Radiology. After having imaging done at PR, they told us that there was an inflamed lymph node under her arm. She returned for a breast biopsy (and is a breast cancer survivor). Upon arrival, Heather was so incredibly rude about the fact that it appeared as though my mom hadn’t checked in properly. She had checked in twice. Heather argued with my mom until she realized that the error was on their side. My mom was already terrified and shaking for the pending test and results - so this was not a good way to start things off. Dr. Greenfield did the biopsy and wasn’t very attentive to the fact that my mom is extremely resistant to lidocaine. She almost passed out from the pain because they didn’t listen or manage it well. Now they are scrambling for juice. All of this pales in comparison to what happened next. The next day, a woman named Lisa called my mom and said, “you’re all clear, see you in a year for your next mammo.” My mom hit the living room floor - crying and thanking God for saving her. Lisa then says, “oh wait - these aren’t your results. I called the wrong person.” I’M SORRY - WHAT?!?! First of all, who is Lisa?! She’s Dr. Greenfield’s scheduling assistant. She’s not a medical assistant or a nurse. Has zero medical knowledge. Now my mom is beyond hysterical. We still didn’t have her actual results even though we found out that they were actually available the same day Lisa called. I hit the roof and contacted every senior level radiology chief that I found on their website and detailed this nightmare. The next morning, Dr. Greenfield called my mom and apologized. She said that she didn’t authorize Lisa to call anyone and has no idea why she did so. Lisa was out of the office so they couldn’t address it with her yet. This was also a lie. Dr. Greenfield likely authorized Lisa to call all of the non-cancerous results people. But as it turns out, my mom does have breast cancer again. Lisa never said, I’m sorry. Not even on reflex. How horrible to think that you’re clear, only to be told that you’re not and that some incompetent called the wrong person. Dr. Greenfield went on to say that the cancer isn’t in the lymph node as originally thought, but that she couldn’t explain it or where it was. You can’t explain it?! Why is that? Do you have a language barrier or do you just not know?! My mom and I finally reached her Penn Philly team later in the day to discuss the results. They were able to explain it just fine. Neither of us are doctors, but we understood everything at the end of the conversation. They also said, “we’re sorry you went to Radnor.” A scheduler friend of mine told me that there are constant problems at Radnor because of their rude staff members. I recommend staying away. If you can get to UPenn in Philly, there’s no doubt that it’s the...
Read moreMy doctors office said that they won’t switch my doctors. I said I can’t wait a week to order new blood tests I have a huge cyst fever everyday. My doctor works only once a week. I said switch me back to my old doctor who works full time and messages me back the same day not wait a whole week. Cancer runs in my family and she said I’m not testing you for cancer it isn’t necessary. Then I ask to have hematology blood test to find out what’s wrong because my platelets jumped up three times in one week. Blood work three days. She said no let’s repeat all blood work see if it elevated and it did and she still hasn’t messaged me back. They want me to die! I’m insulted my birth mother had ovarian cancer had her tubes tied mid twenties. My aunt had ovarian cancer twice! My doctor said I don’t show any signs of cancer. My blood clearly states platelets 555 it jumped 70% within 4 days! Sent me back three days out of one week just to prove my platelets jumped up. Now I’m waiting a week later for Beth Rainville to message me back. My rbc levels are extremely high and my white blood cells are good. Kidney fine gallbladder fine!! I’m very upset. I have a cyst on my right ovary 4.9cm or larger !!! I need my old primary Mercedes Timko back best doctor I had.    Read moreI love my neurology team who I see here but the building manager is indifferent to people who need reasonable accommodations . There’s a lot of things wrong with the service animal policy but besides that I have seizures and I have a cat ( certified for my seizures) who stays put in her bag unless I need her to sit on me during one of my episodes. I called ahead and got approved by the neurology wing as well as calling security ahead of time too. I got to my appointment this morning and let them know again that I had my ESA and I have frequent seizures and they had no problems.Yes she is a cat but they were legally recognized as ADA certified animals until a few years ago. She can do all the same things a service dog can when I have a seizure. A few minutes after getting up to the neurology wing I was approached again and told I had to take my cat outside because their supervisor decided to change her mind and say no. I would understand if I brought a pet dog on a leash and they were bothering people but my cat is contained and there for my safety- she doesn’t meow or acknowledge strangers. I felt totally disrespected especially considering that Penn medicine is privately owned meaning that the building could have their own policy accommodations. Instead I was mistreated and spent the rest of my appointment in distress. She comes with me for a purpose and that should have been recognized as long as it wasn’t...
