While they do have a large variety of products, they also have a discrimination problem. I, an African American woman, was gathering products to purchase and noticed the manager or whoever the thin Asian man with glasses was, standing close by and pretending to look up on the shelves. For as long as I stood there, he stood there quietly monitoring. As soon as I went to speak to a person who was stocking the shelves, who was just on the other side of the man, the man immediately left. It was an offensive experience because I am NOT a thief and was there to legitimately purchase products that I needed. Being monitored the way that I was gives the impression that the male thought that because I am African American that I was there to steal. I did not see the male following anyone else around. I will not support this establishment again and will advise other African Americans not to support them either.

To the business owner: Yes this absolutely occurred at the Lux Beauty in the shopping center on Capital Blvd. Yes there absolutely was a male working at your store with glasses because the young lady I asked about a product had to ask the male if the store carried it. Trying to Gaslight me will not work. Regardless of how many AA customers you may have, I am not referring to them, I am referring to the way that I was treated. What that male did was wrong. I will take my business to an AA-owned establishment, even if it is online. Another alternative is Amazon. At least Jeff Bezos never personally disrespected me, the way...

I have frequented this Beauty Supply store for quite some time and spent a considerable amount of money. I have been pleased with the service thus far. However, that has changed based on the call that I had today. I purchased hair that was on sale for nearly half the normal price. I usually purchase the hair in the black bag but it was not on sale and the hair in the white bag was on sale and decided to make the purchase. The hair was installed, however after washing it and then applying the flat iron the hair begins to stink. I contacted the regarding my concern and they explained that there was nothing that they could do. I asked the employee to provide me with the name of the manager and she told me Sarah. When I asked her for the last name she refused and told me there was no need to get an attitude and that the manager would tell me the same thing and hung up on me. I paid for the hair and it has a bad smell upon applying heat and would like someone to address my concern. Prior to today I would have given the service a 4 star rating, however with the level of service provided and the rudeness of the employee I cannot apply any stars. The person answering the phone should have taken my information and had the manager contact me or provide the managers full name and number. The employee explained that she did not know her managers last name. Truly unacceptable...

I wish I didn't have to give them the one star! For the 2nd time, I visited this store and walked in to no one speaking. Went to the section and no one asked if they could help me. One employee walked by me and never spoke. It was myself and one other customer in the section. I had on a BRIGHT shirt. I couldn't be missed. The same girl who initially walked by finally spoke as I was headed to the door. I walked around for about 10 minutes and finally went to the counter and asked for the manager. I told her this was the 2nd time I came in and no one acknowledged me and as a consumer, I felt that was rude. Basically, you want me to spend my money there but I'm not good enough for a hello. She basically became combative and made excuses and said its a personal experience. Number one, if I am the ONLY customer to complain, and at that I am doing it in a manner that is professional but letting you know I don't like how I'm being treated, listen, even if you don't feel the need to apologize, listen and take heed to it. But don't make it an excuse because at the end of the situation, they weren't busy and the only other person there was a Lady and her husband who had just made there purchase, so if I am there in a bright summer colored top, I can't be missed....
