What’s up with halo-halo? Why does it take forever to make? I literally had to wait 30 minutes to an hour just to buy one halo halo and get on with my day. It’s so frustrating. All I needed was one halo-halo before heading to an appointment, but I ended up missing it because of this incompetence.

There were plenty of workers who could’ve done the job, and yet they made me wait for almost an hour. Completely incompetent. I’m not buying halo halo anytime soon unless I absolutely have to or I’ll buy it somewhere else. I was standing there, waiting and waiting, while they were just looking at each other. What’s the point of paying early if you can’t even make it on time?. It’s 2025, nobody wants to wait 30 minutes to an hour just for one halo halo. I've been looking for a place to purchase ginger root on a regular basis. I've tried several other ethnic markets around Raleigh as well as traditional grocery stores, but this is the only store where I can purchase it and the quality is consistently good. No mildew or dried up roots, just fresh tubers time after time. It's a bit of a drive for me, but for the quality it's worth it. The price is more than reasonable too, usually cheaper there than at the other grocery stores. The people working there are nice and are willing to talk to you if you are friendly and just say hello. DO NOT GO HERE I went hear craving Halo-halo and was meet with racism. The food was overpriced and looked very unappetizing like it was sitting for hours. The pictures that you see online are stock photos. My family and I entered the store to go to the Filipino restaurant and were greeted by racism. A middle aged Asian man ordered before us and was promptly severed. We (an African American family) waited for about 10 minutes while looking over the menu. Then my mother tried to get one of the staffs attention and was ignored. We waited about five minutes more while listening to the staff converse in Filipino and English.
