I recently visited Coborn's on a seemingly mundane errand: to purchase a simple carton of milk. However, what unfolded during this seemingly ordinary trip was anything but. As I navigated the aisles, my toddler, with boundless energy and curiosity, transformed the grocery store into a playground of wonder and delight. The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the enchanting singing cow. With a press of a button, the cow burst into a cheerful melody, captivating my child's attention and filling the aisle with a sense of childlike joy. It was a heartwarming moment, a reminder of the simple pleasures that can bring smiles to young faces.
Not content with the musical spectacle, my toddler's attention was then drawn to the mechanical horse. With a twinkle in their eye and a mischievous grin, they hopped onto the saddle and embarked on a thrilling ride. The sight of my child, eyes wide with excitement, clutching the reins and guiding the horse, brought a wave of nostalgia and a sense of shared adventure.
While our shopping list was concise, the memories we made that day were priceless. Coborn's, with its unexpected attractions, transformed a routine grocery trip into a magical experience for my little one. It's a testament to the power of childlike wonder and the ability of a simple grocery store to spark imagination and create...
Read moreI am thoroughly pleased with the pharmacy. Especially since Trent assumed the responsibility of managing it. What a fine fellow! He is intelligent, thoughtful, considerate, patient, and very helpful. I'm an old man, but Trent is probably the best pharmacist I have ever had. By the way, all the other pharmacy folks are the top notch.
The grocery store is good, but not as admirable as the pharmacy. Nonetheless, the folks are very well trained -- so that they are helpful and personable -- they even smile when you say hello! (I had begun to suspect that smiling was a very un-Minnesota trait. These folks are very interactive and positive.
I dropped the stars by one because of the bakery. I'm not a big bakery consumer, but when I have had to get something for work -- like 48 donuts or whatnot -- they are the least friendly and least helpful. Maybe they just need the training everyone else gets a few more times.
Produce is good. Meat is really fairly good. Maybe they could do a bit better on the variety side, but I know that might be my bias. The liquor store is great... good prices, too!
Thank you, Coborn's, for providing this superstore to help provide us what we need.
Give Trent and the pharmacy a folks a...
Read moreI only go here because my family insists on it due to it being the closest grocery store to our house, but everyone in my house complains about it being overpriced and the staff being lazy and not paying attention to customers and outright ignoring us sometimes. There's no excuse for there to be so few people at the registers every time I go in there. I know people who've applied to be cashiers, I'M ONE OF THEM, it's not like nobody wants to cashier... Only letting one person cashier means crazy lines happen and then it takes me forever to get out just because I wanted ONE item that has a sale sticker on it and therefore can't use self checkout unless I wanna get overcharged for it. This shouldn't be allowed to be possible. And when I told someone about an expired product, I was mocked for caring about it and then the next day I went back and looked to see if they had any out that wasn't expired and there was TWICE the amount from before... all of it expired. So they just removed none of it and added more and didn't care that it was all expired. People who put expired products out on purpose should suffer some sort of consequence for it, but nobody in...
