I REGRET going to their store yesterday with my husband and son. We arrived about an hour before they close and were greeted by this elderly nice lady in the front of the store. We were on several occasions asked by several ladies if we were finding everything ok. We had picked about four items which I asked them to hold for me so they wouldn’t break but also so they could see I was going to purchase something. When we got in line to pay there were two ladies paying for their items ahead of us, the cashier was chatting and taking all the time in the world with them. I entertained myself by picking another item in one of the closest booths. My husband was getting impatient, mind you it was pass closing time and In total we waited about 20 minutes in line and never did the older man who was at the register ever looked at us, tell us he would help us soon, acknowledge us or made ANY sign of hurrying up. The nice chatting and slow service continued until we had to WALK OUT!!! This is unacceptable and completely rude! We are a hispanic family which makes me suspicious this was a reason for their rude and discourteous behavior. I spend a lot of money on vintage items yearly and Of course I will never be back!! If you are Hispanic beware of the kind of treatment you will...
Read moreI absolutely love coming here and there are always hidden treasures to find. It’s a great place to look for unique gifts and I love that the booths are stocked and decorated around the holidays making it easy to pick up home decor from several different vendors. However, I was disappointed in my last trip to Bliss Marketplace. I purchased a few items from the same booth only to come home to a catalog from an online retailer where I located the exact same items for half the cost. Not only would I have paid less, but I would have gotten more items through the catalog for the lower price. The owner of the booth is purchasing items from a catalog and then marking them up pretty significantly. I understand a little markup for profit, but certainly not around 50% or so. It was hard not to feel a little ripped off, especially when paying for something that wasn’t vintage or homemade, which is what I think of when I think of Bliss Marketplace. This was my experience at only one of the booths so it wouldn’t deter me from shopping here, just be cautious about what you are buying and whether the price seems...
Read moreVery nice storefront in Roseville with so many vintage items to choose from. Sadly I will not be returning because I didn’t feel free to shop. I purchased a few items because I pride myself in shopping small. Customers don’t like to feel followed or watched while shopping. I’ve never stolen anything from a store, it’s just not who I am. I was asked repeatedly if the items I wanted to purchase needed to be taken to the register. Such a bummer because I love shopping vintage so much. I hope this isn’t a pattern because it’s so dangerous for business. I noticed another reviewer here saying they felt followed and watched as well. The same items are also cheaper on Etsy. I literally had one item in my hand and then was watched and asked if I needed them carried to the register by an employee after each item I picked up. These were all non heavy items. Please no need to follow up with a comment either about wanting to make sure my shopping experience was easier by helping to take my items to the register. That’s...
