Chris from Local Appliance Repairs was great! Our 10-year-old built-in KitchenAid refrigerator started leaking very cold water. I noticed a sheet of ice on the bottom of the freezer. As it melted, it dripped under the freezer's bottom drawer. I called Chris on a Saturday; he came over right away and diagnosed the problem: a dirty filter at the back of the fridge was compromising the defroster system, causing the drainage line at the back of the freezer to freeze solid and stop draining. Thus, water pooled and froze solid at the bottom of the freezer. He returned on a Monday with all his tools, and in about an hour had the whole thing cleaned out and defrosted and operational once more. He recommended an annual cleaning to keep everything running well. Had a problem with our washer a month ago. Called Luxury Appliance Repair. Within 2 hours a repair man showed up, diagnosed the problem in 5 minutes. Ordered part (motherboard), it came in 5 days and the repairman had it up and running in 10 minutes. Just had an other unrelated problem with same washer 1 1/2 months later, called Luxury Appliance Repair again, on a Saturday. Again within 2 hours a repairman came. This time it was the owner. Diagnosed the problem in 5 minutes. Came back out on Monday and had us up and running in 15 minutes. This time he only charged us for the part! He says he wants happy and repeat customers. Excellent Business Ethics and Trustworthy! Chris came out and fixed my GE washer. He was honest and ensured the washer gets fixed. At first, the issue didn’t get fixed and I paid in full without checking. I thought my money was gone (past contractor traumas). But, he did come back and fixed the washer, added additional parts at no additional cost to me. I admire his dedication and ensuring the customer satisfaction.
