As a retired high end subcontractor I recommended Masters Wholesale many times for years. For my Remodle I didn’t hesitate even if it was a few more dollars to order everything we needed ($38k) & paid CASH 2/10/21 Between the city building department & the pandemic our start was pushed back 11 months. Two months before we needed (8/5/22) them, I was first told the Wolf Range and Sub-Zero Frig. We’re not ordered! Then we were told that our Wolf Range was sold to a contractor in need but they thought a new replacement would come in time because of the start day push back. I probably would have agreed but I was not asked! I was then told they would have a replacement 36” Wolf Range there in 20 days, the Sub-Zero in 30 days and the speed oven maybe in November. Those 3 items were over $25k! I said I’m coming in and want everything you have that I had paid for loaded on my truck. I came in and was handed a $800 bill for the range hood! They said I only paid for half. After some back and forth over 30 min. they found their mistake, said SORRY! As they brought out the appliances I had paid for(wait for it) here comes a Sub Zero Refrigerator! I guess it was mine or from another order that matched mine? The 36” Range of some other order came as promised & the Wolf Speed Oven/Microwave a month later that we had them delivered to the job site. We didn’t open any boxes but had a salesman that check the invoice that the Wolf Oven and Range did have the roller rakes. We ordered ball bearing racks but was not on the delivery slip we signed. We were told “sorry but you got what you signed for! But wait, there’s more. I didn’t pay for it but was quoted $1,200 to install everything and Sub Zero/Wolf would give an additional year warrantee. We said OK, we would like to have that done! NOPE, now they wanted $2k, the company they offered shut down. WOW! I had had enough, I called SubZero head-quarters, I asked if they could help me that I’ve been dealing with Kathy “Manager” at Masters and what had gone down! They would check into it and get back! I said, yes please. Here’s the final results: Wolf sent me a$500 gift card. I got their appliances installed 12/23/22 for $1,200. That’s 22 months they used my appliances as their own inventory even after I paid up front in CASH! Sub-Zero/Wolf sent me the (4) ball bearing racks free of charge. They made sure I got the extra warrantee. They had a specialist call to walk us thru every appliance. After all of this, we would highly recommend SubZero & Wolf products. The sad part of this was Masters “Kathy” made some bad decisions and then use the pandemic as the reasoning to lie and then say WHY ARE YOU UPSET, you got everything on time!
Elden Lewis 12-21-23 update: It’s been a year since we had the issues with Masters and I hope they have their departments under control. We have not been contacted, no follow up, when you spend the price of a new car on Appliances, would you want to have me give a good follow up review? I guess not. We love our finished kitchen, the Wolf Appliances are with out question...
Read moreUnfortunately I am forced to post a negative review of Masters Wholesale two years after originally purchasing my GE microwave. At the time of purchase the experience was extremely disappointing but I held off with the negative review because I did eventually receive my microwave installed correctly at my home. Two years later however, after an extremely poor experience dealing with the extended warranty company (Consumer Priority Service or CPS) that Masters Wholesale sold to me with my microwave, I am writing this review.
When we originally bought the microwave from Masters two years ago, we were looking forward to the service that is promised on all the ads that we heard on the radio and we really wanted to support a local business. Low prices, local company with good service, professional, is what we were hoping for; sadly, we experienced none of these. Once we bought the unit, there was absolutely no follow-up to let us know where this product was even though the date the sales person let us know it would arrive had passed. I called several times with no return call. The few times I was able to reach someone, I was promised a return call which did not come. Finally (after my own initiated call) I was told the unit was in the warehouse and I could schedule an install. I did this and the unit was installed on the scheduled day. About a week later, we could feel a cold draft coming from the microwave every time we opened it and from the air vents underneath. We had also noticed that the unit was installed at a slight angle which made the door swing open. We called the company and they came out (me taking off more time from work) and found that it was installed wrong. This technician completed the repair and all was good until last week when the handle of the unit came off completely. This was annoying but not such a a big deal because we had bought the extended warranty (CPS 3 year) through Masters. I called Masters to find out about the warranty and they first referred me to the wrong company (a local servicing company) who told me that Masters had to send them the referral for the work to be scheduled. To make a very long story short with Masters (many, many, calls and jumping though hoops), being referred to the wrong servicing companies, and finally CPS who the extended warranty was through, I was told that my product would not be covered under the extended warranty. I called to let Masters Wholesale know about this and they just said “sorry that this is not covered”.
My recommendation is to NOT purchase through Masters Wholesale in the first place. If you DO purchase however, I certainly wouldn’t fall for buying the extended warranty through them (the one from CPS). Masters probably makes money selling these extended warranties but this comes as a disservice to their customers I feel. Don’t take my word for it; search Consumer Priority Service Warranty (CPS) online and read the reviews.
I was very disappointed in my entire experience with Masters Wholesale and will certainly purchase my future...
Read moreTERRIBLE! Where are the negative stars? So frustrated and disappointed, I don't know where to start. I suppose for anyone reading, I should start with DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE. This is the worst business I have ever tried to purchase from. We ordered 3 sub zero units equating to over $13K worth of appliances (charged immediately to our Visa), and promised (numerous times) delivery within 4 days of purchase. When the product was not delivered (after 3 separate scheduled times), they were simply not available. Not by cell, not by office phone, not through email, and when we called the store, our paperwork was missing and anyone that could help us was in a meeting. When I did speak with someone, they were rude, confused and irritated as to why I wanted to know where my product was, and incredibly disrespectful. They would promise to call me back and wouldn't. I was told I should be happy that they were "trying to figure it out". The only saving grace was a receptionist by the name of Sarah who did seem to feel earnestly bad for me. But Bill and Dirk could not have been more belligerent when asked why my delivery didn't happen (WHEN I was able to speak with them)- and then told us it could be (actually "it should be") 4- 6 more weeks. Telling me my expectations were ridiculous that it would be there already. I had scheduled our cabinet contractors to come 3 separate times to be there to install (based on THEIR scheduling, via disparate emails), as well as stayed home from work to meet with appliance DELIVERIES that never came -and NEVER a call from them. Only when I threatened a charge back did they get a truck to deliver 2 of our 3 items, and I was told I was lucky they had worked this out. Dirk couldn't believe I expected him to "perform magic". I had to call 3 more times to get a date for the last one when I had to save my sanity and cancel. Shame on you Master Wholesale. My only recourse will be to save others from my same frustration - and hope you feel it...
