Hello I was profiled in this store as a doordash driver picking up items for a customer by a blonde haired female manager. I used to work in retail so I know for a fact it's against policy to follow and watch customers. You can already guess my race but I came into this store on the 27th of January at around 7pm-8:30pm I do not remember the exact time because I deliver 80-100 deliveries per week, but if you check the security footage everything I am saying it is on camera. As I go to scan several energy drinks my customer had ordered near the register I see her talking to cashiers while coming back and forth to see what I am doing. I was merely scanning items for a customer so I'm trying to understand why she thought I was suspicious. I hate to bring up race but what else was there as to why I was deemed suspicious? I'm sure Doordashers come into the store all of the time, so why did she feel the need to keep an eye on me? What made me suspicious, was it my clothes I wore active wear? So it couldn’t have been that. So why did she target me? It couldn't have been anything regarding my behavior as I came in there for a customer. If you check the footage you will see me scanning items.
She knew she wasn't supposed to do that which is why she went back and forth, but it’s concerning as she's the manager or assistant manager and they are not allowed to follow. I don't want her to get in trouble or anything but if someone could talk to her about her biases I would greatly appreciate it. Maybe she doesn't know any black people I don't know, but how she treated me like a potential thief was not right. I haven't stolen even a piece of bubble gum in my entire life. I do not even have tickets because I'm a scaredy cat! But yes please talk to her I don't want anyone to deal with what she did to me. Thank you and take care! Also I just read a review from 2 years ago that claimed that they too were treated like a thief, 2 years Staters, you said you will handle it and yet it happened again to me 2 years later and others I’m sure that just didn’t leave a review. The fact she felt bold enough to do that means that she has gotten away with profiling numerous times. Please do something! I don’t want anyone to feel harassed shopping for customers! Again thank you for reading my long essay of an...
Read moreI just needed some milk, but ended up buying a bit more. The store was clean & well stocked. I grabbed a cart entering the left side of the store which has sodas, alcohol, produce & frozen foods. My 1st stop was @ the nectarines. I hadn't had a nectarine in ages & they looked good, so I got 3.😊 Before I could make my selection, some guy approached me asking "Are they any good?" I said "Sorry, what was that?" He looked @ me & answered. "I asked if they are any good." "O, I don't know. I haven't had a nectarine in a while." Now, I don't know if he was trying to chat me up, but I think he figured out I wasn't interested. Ok, let's get back to the shopping. I went on to the frozen foods. I wanted a pie so I settled on Key Lime.😋 I walked over to the other frozen foods aisle. I was craving pizza, & I remembered a DiGiorno commercial so I got the DiGiorno Rising Crust Pepperoni Pizza. Next stop was the Deli section because I was also craving wings. I mean, pizza & wings what could be better, plus the wings were already prepared. I also wanted their potato wedges, but I was informed that they were all out.😥 I moved on to what I came to the store for in the 1st place, milk. I could continue w/my shopping list, but I don't want to get too boring. When I was ready to checkout, I stood in line for only a few seconds when another register was opened. The cashier was friendly & packed my groceries for me. I spent around $65 for about 10 different items which isn't bad considering the wings were almost $9, the Key Lime pie was $7.99/$8.99 & I bought Sunblock which was my most expensive item @ $11.29. I usually know better than to purchase items like Sunblock @ the grocery store because they often will be on the pricier side. But, I was out of it @ home & I needed it for the next day. I didn't want to make another stop, especially w/ dairy & frozen foods in the car. The shopping trip was an all around...

Shopping at Stater Bros is like dating someone who’s super nice one day and confusing the next. One minute you’re thinking “wow this store really gets me”, then bam, you see $7.49 for a bag of grapes and suddenly question your life choices. 😩🍇
Let’s be real tho. the prices are kinda wild. Some items feel like they were priced during a game of grocery roulette. A box of cereal costs more than my lunch. A single bell pepper? Time to pull out another Mortgage. But then… the deals drop like plot twists. 99c chicken thighs. Buy-one-get-one free ribs. A gallon of milk that doesn’t require a second job. 🔥🛍️
It’s this weird chaotic balance. You're over here dodging overpriced strawberries like it's a side quest, and then turning a corner to find ribeye steaks on sale like it’s Black Friday. Every trip is an adventure. And somehow… I keep coming back.
💯 Shoutout to the employees tho. always polite, always working hard, and they don’t judge when I come in wearing pajama pants and sandals. Respect. 👖👏
The store’s usually clean, the produce is fresh, and the bakery section smells like a bakery shop. But just know you gotta play the sale game smart or you’ll walk out with three things and a receipt that makes you sweat.
🎯 Tip: Check the weekly ad before you go. It’s like treasure hunting, but for groceries. Get in, find the deals, dodge the overpriced snacks, and get out like a champion.
