Avoid This Verizon Authorized Retailer at All Costs
My experience at this Verizon authorized retailer has been nothing short of a nightmare. From the very beginning, I encountered unprofessionalism, poor communication, and a complete lack of accountability — all thanks to Kevin, the store manager.
Questionable Leadership & Lack of Technical Skills
Kevin has the right personality for a manager — he appears confident and personable. However, I am now convinced that he lacks the necessary technical skills to properly set up and troubleshoot complex issues with devices like the iPhone 16 Pro. His initial setup was incorrect, which has led to ongoing problems with my device.
Broken Promises & Poor Communication
Kevin promised to call me back to follow up on my issues, but he never did. Today, he told JC, one of his employees, to tell me that it was a Verizon issue and not a store issue, and that I should call tech support because they were "too busy." This is completely unacceptable, especially considering Kevin himself set up my phone in the first place — the problem clearly stems from his work.
Inadequate Support & Additional Costs
Due to the setup errors, I had to visit the Apple Store to troubleshoot the iPhone. They confirmed there were no hardware or software issues, but my screen protector had to be removed during the process, leaving me without protection. Now I have to purchase another screen protector at my own expense. Furthermore, Kevin failed to attach my trade-in device to my new purchase, adding unnecessary hassle and confusion.
Lack of Consistency & Previous Positive Experience Gone
In January, I upgraded my child's iPhone with Robin at this same store, and that process was smooth and issue-free. It’s disappointing to see how much the quality has declined since Robin's departure. Now, I am left dealing with an incompetent manager who seems ill-equipped to handle customer concerns effectively.
Unprofessionalism & Blame-Shifting
Kevin’s approach to problem-solving has been to shift blame onto Verizon or other support channels, rather than taking responsibility for his own mistakes. This kind of finger-pointing is unprofessional and only prolongs the frustration for customers like myself.
Final Thoughts
If you value your time, money, and sanity, stay far away from this store. Their setup was incorrect, their staff is unhelpful, and their management is ineffective. I regret trusting them with my new device, and I strongly recommend seeking service elsewhere. Verizon, please address the incompetence at this location — it’s damaging your brand.

For example, if Robin was busy assisting others when we “dropped-in” (unannounced btw 🙏🏼), JC and/or store manager Kevin, would step in immediately to assist until Robin was once again available to us. All three treated us professionally, respectfully and with high levels of competence, making our transaction as painless as possible. (*side note: we had our previous phones for 4+ years and it was difficult to see them go!)
