Spot Laundromat — Local services in Ranson

Unfortunately, i live in an older house that was converted into apartments so no laundry hook up for me. I used dread going to the laundry mat because there’s TONS of people all the time 24/7, always fighting for washers and dryers, crowds, awkward stares, have to make sure you have quarters and most of the time just dirty… but this place (in my opinion) is a an introverts dreams. it is open 24/7 and i thank the owners for that so much. I’m able to go super late at night when no one here and not be bothered and i feel relatively safe as it is not such a bad area either. It’s rare you will ever see an out of order washer or dryer, and if there is, it’ll be just one and they fix it extremely quick. they are most of the time on top of all the cleaning and maintenance. they are days where the trash might a little over flow or some empty dryer sheet boxes which is ok. i understand not everything is perfect. and i do respect this place a lot. it’s so convenient, extremely nice, all brand new, cheap, and VERY VERY QUICK. My favorite part is whenever i’m surprised with a $5/$10 credit when reloading my card. i have gotten lucky and got it a few times which says something because im only here once a week sometimes every other week.

I congratulate the owners because not many laundry mats are nice and i have been to alot during my life. I also drive around 25 mins from Brunswick Maryland to just come to this...

I was stoked to try a Laundromat that gives me the same clean, safe vibes as Freshly Folded but a bit cheaper and even closer to home.

The card system is great, very convenient. I also like that I could walk to Dollar General to get some bleach really easily - location is nice. Inside is very nicely air-conditioned and they've got some snacks and drinks in the vending machine.

The trash cans, every single one, was overflowing with trash. And since some of that trash had food in it, there were a ton of flies in the building in any vicinity of a trash can. Sitting inside was next to impossible because I kept having flies land on my legs and biting me.

There also are not nearly enough carts in the building to accommodate the number of patrons. It wasn't super busy in my opinion, plenty of open washers and dryers available. I waited a while for one before I eventually just carried my full 80# washer load to the dryer in a few trips. Truly not the end of the world in the grand scheme of life, but you know.

I understand there are staffing issues from the signage AND that I came on a Sunday afternoon, so I am sure that's part of why the trash issues in particular occurred - but it is still definitely disappointing. I unfortunately think that I might have to...

So I started using this laundry mat 3 weeks ago. The first time I used it it was nice. There was some trash left behind by others but that is to be expected. The second time, same. However when I went last night it was trashed. It hadn't looked like anybody had been in to clean the place up in days. The trash cans were flowing over, there was trash all over the floor and there was no AC, they just had the automatic door open. It was very warm. When i was folding my clothes a roach crawled out from underneath the folding table and scared the living hell out of me. On top of all that the prices went up! I get prices need to be raised to accommodate everything else. Unfortunately being raised. However, what I do not understand is how you can raise the prices the same week ypu obviously do not have anyone taking care of the place. Very disappointed last night.
