The initial encounter with the employees here was good. My husband and I ordered a small couch and an ottoman. Nothing special about either one. Standard made colors. Had to order them because they were not in stock which is understandable. We were given an estimated delivery date of being delivered to our apartment between 1/6 and 1/13. We ordered these on 12/09/19. We didnât hear anything about delivery so I gave them a call around 1/12 and found out that our couch was in fact in store, and had been for a while, awaiting for the arrival of our ottoman. We were told there was some âtruck troubleâ causing a delay in delivery. Again, understandable. We asked that they deliver our couch while we wait for the ottoman. We were then given an expected delivery date of the ottoman by 1/23. The 23rd came and went with no one contacting us regarding our piece of furniture. My husband and I went in to the store and inquired about our ottoman. The lady at customer service informed us that it was actually out of stock. What?!? I asked her how could something that I already ordered and PAID FOR be out of stock???? She said that it is on a first come first served basis at the warehouse. This is insane!!!! If I ordered and paid for something, it should be reserved and waiting for me!! Plus, when was someone planning on calling and telling me this?!? We were then given an expected delivery date of 2/8. I immediately asked for a refund of my money. She said she would have to talk to the salesperson that helped us and see what they could work out for us. I got a call the following morning and was told that they can either mail us a check or I can pick up cash. I told her that I will come in and pick up my cash (since we paid cash for this.) This was 3 days ago. I went in this evening to get my refund and was told that I would have to wait for Thursday because thatâs the day they âcut checks.â Seriously?!? I just want my money!! I gave you cash, so give me cash back!!! I can tell you this, my family and I will NOT be coming back to this place of business. There is obviously a huge lack of communication.    Read moreLove love love my sectional! Except it came the opposite way then I had asked for it to come. That is also why I went in and ordered it to make sure it was ordered correctly. The associate and I drew a layout of my living room, still recieved it the opposite way I wanted. Cushion was missing a seam. They had to order another . I told the manager when I called to tell her about the cushion that I received the couch the opposite way then I had ordered it, she didn't seem to care. I said its whatever. I finally recieved it at least. But it's a sectional so it ultimately messed up my whole plans for my living room. Extremely unprofessional place! Not sure I'll ever personally step foot on there. I had went in nearly 6/7 months before purchasing the one I bought....I talked to a gal. I had only looked. 2nd time I went in I was approached by a man, I let him help me because he was an available associate. The other girl called him over the loud speaker to answer the phone she freaked out on the phone that I was her customer. I was like "wow" she wanted to split his commission. I said she did nothing. She tried to help me one time when I was "just looking" that was unbelieveable to me. I was standing right there. I could hear him, I even said was that about me, he said yes. She claims she worked with you before. I said no. I stopped in months ago to look. She couldnt have waited until I left the store to discuss this. On my first visit to the store, I had a few couches in mind that I had seen on the Internet, and I just wanted to try them in person. The models I was looking at werenât in that store, but Sophie DeWitt looked up the dimensions of those couches and showed me couches in the store that had the same measurements, seat depths, cushion heights, armrests, seat firmness, etc. so that I could try it all.
I told her that I would definitely buy a couch EVENTUALLY, but let her know it was going to take me a LONG time to decide. She still helped me an immense amount over these months anyway!
Iâve been visiting the store with questions every month or so since then. Sophie has helped me with my questions, made sure to tell me about sales, and even done the full math for several pieces for me so that I could fully consider them and decide.
Today, I finally made the order. She helped me find that couchâŚshe even found a coffee table I had wanted that was in limited stock! Iâm going to get my new living room right after Christmas.
(And Iâm probably going back soon after that to get a new mattressâSophie has already been holding my hand through that process as well. Poor woman!...
