I'm new to the area and just visited the store. The selection was about as I'd expect for a Jcpenney. I don't know if they're understaffed, but I found it very difficult to find anyone. Of course, it's a weekday, so probably not as many customers either. Almost every dressing room is closed and I wandered the store, going in circles for a while trying to find an open fitting room, and thought maybe an employee would see me and ask if I needed help. When that didn't happen, I finally found a young lady at the checkout area in the housewares section and asked her where I'd find a women's dressing room (since even though she saw me, she didn't ask if she could help me with anything). She told me there was one in the men's department, but that I could use it. I asked if men and women were really both using the same fitting room, and she sort of glared at me and said "yeah" kind of rudely as if I was a prude for even the suggestion of having separate fitting rooms for men and women. After her response and wandering around for so long, I wasn't really in the mood for shopping and put the clothes back and left. A little disheartening because generally people seem so nice and welcoming in Rapid City. It would have been nice if someone would have noticed me wandering and offered help...I felt kind of foolish going around in circles trying to find an employee just to ask about a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI live in the county outside of Rapid City,SD city limits. The clerk who brought me the package that I ordered was over the top nice, friendly and professional. The reason I'm giving three stars is for the operator when I dialed zero in the options. I told her originally, that I was in town, and wanted to know if my order was ready. She checked and told me that it wasn't, to call back after a while and check again; that it might be that it just wasn't in the system yet, and spoke in a less than friendly tone. When I called back, I asked again, and she asked if I had received an email. I said not that I had seen, and started to say something else, but she was already talking over me. And when I was talking while she was talking, she raised her voice a notch, acted exasperated, and told me that I would receive an email when it was ready. When people act in a rude and unprofessional manner, the only way that will change, truly, is if there are consequences. It is not ok to treat a customer like they are dumb or a burden. If a person is in customer service, there is a way they are supposed to address customers and this certainly was not it. Sub...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe portrait studio lady took along time with her daughter-in-law during our session to give her money for gas when we were booked for the appointment. She also took along time helping another customer in the lobby while we were in the middle of our session!! Lastly my mother wanted another picture of my dad dipping my mom in her dress because my mom didn't like that her foot was in the front of the picture. She wanted more of a "side picture" done to get her "whole body," not her head towards the back of the screen and her foot at the front of the picture! The picture lady said, "No" that they can't take double pictures of the same pose.....STUPID, because we paid for them. She can take ALONG TIME with the UNNECESSARY other people but CANNOT snap another quick picture of my mom and dad?! And she DID take double pictures of the "same pose" because our eyes were closed on some pictures. If you want PROFESSIONAL pictures where you are treated like "REAL GUESTS" and where your Opinions Matter...look else where. Not happy with JCPenny's...
