If I could give negative stars, I would. I have had nothing but problems when sending in my laptop. The first time my computer did not work properly when I got it back. It turns out they broke the keyboard on it. So I had to send it in again for a longer period of time. The 2nd time my laptop broke (for almost the exact same reason, I had to replace motherboard both times) I was emailed about confirming the estimated cost, and I called the number and confirmed the estimated cost for repair. A few weeks go by and I go in to pick my laptop up. Only to find out that I apparently declined the estimated total, and they sent my laptop back unrepaired. I was already frustrated at this point, so I told them to send it back and to confirm the repair cost. Over the next two months I recieved MULTIPLE emails asking me to confirm the repair cost, AGAIN. I called MULTIPLE TIMES to confirm the repair, and after about the 10th email I went into Best Buy to confirm that the cost was approved. The person told me that they were waiting for parts. There was ZERO communication whatsoever. Very frustrating. Today, I was so excited because my laptop finally returned "repaired" because that's what I expected. I didn't know until I got there that they couldn't get parts, so my laptop was sent back UNREPAIRED again! There was zero communication through geek squad about my device. I'm never sending my laptop, or any of my devices for that matter, through geek squad ever again. I do not recommend...
Read moreGeek squad is garbage. Sent my tv in three weeks ago for a sensor repair covered under the manufacturer's warranty.. was told I would have it back in 12-14 days. I called last week, after it had been two weeks and they told me it was in transit and I would get a notification when it was ready for pick up. I literally have not gotten an update with the shipment tracking in two weeks, it just tells me it's in transit. What kind of garbage is this? No updates or anything for two weeks? I've ordered stuff from china that took less time to ship. Finally I call again today and she says it's in transit.. again. I hate to have to catch an attitude with anyone.. but today I could not hold back. The lady put me on hold and came back two seconds later to tell me my tv was in their warehouse and I could pick it up tonight. Are you kidding me? Was it in the warehouse last week when I called and was told it was in transit? What a joke. they said it was there and the tracking info STILL SAYS IN TRANSIT. I'll never do business with this place again. I would rather have paid someone to fix the sensor instead of waiting over 3 weeks for a simple fix that took geek squad all of 1 hour to fix (says on tracking info) get it...
Read moreFirst of all, I went into the store with a friend to try and find a new keyboard and got kicked out of the store because someone my friend went into the store with a few days prior, supposedly stole something. I do not know that person and had nothing to do with it. Ive never been profiled like that and asked to leave a store before. I have never stolen anything in my life so it was very embarrassing to say the least and I was shaken up the rest of the night. My friend did not steal anything and did not know about it when it happened. He was just with the wrong person at the wrong time. Secondly, I called the store today to ask the cost to have a key repaired on my keyboard because I need it for work and they instantly hung up on me without even letting me ask my question. I guess that's fine. I'd rather support small local businesses anyway. Best Buy does not need my business and I'll just order things for better prices from other...
