Last week, Wednesday, while browsing I came across a chaise lounge chair that was marked 50% off. The display has no price (which most don’t) but the two on the bottom shelf in boxes were price $349.99 and both had a red 50% off picture. Deciding to think on it, I did not return until the following Monday to see if it was still available and on sale. Both boxes still there and still marked 50% off. I made arrangements to borrow a family member’s vehicle on Tuesday to be able to haul it home. On Tuesday after getting it up to the Register the cashier said, “Let’s see if this is actually on sale.” Puzzled I waited for her to scan it, she announced, “Oh, yea it’s on sale for $199.99.” I questioned that it was 50% off and her response was, “No, we have teens come in a switch around stickers all the time.” When I tried to explain these have been marked this way for about a week. She stated that they can’t keep up with fixing all the switched stickers. An extra $25 more than what I was planning on spending was not the issue. It was the principal. As a customer I should’ve been given the “advertised” price. It is not my fault the system is flawed and the lack of staff can’t keep it organized. I did not buy the lounge chair. And I doubt I will ever shop...
Read moreI was greeted by a worker passing by the front door and asked if I needed any help, she answered my questions and headed me to where I wanted to go. I went and found what I was looking for and upon return it was my cashier that took the time to help me out, very nice! I had placed an online order for pick up, my cashier called it back and the gentleman was out shortly with my order. He even helped me to the car with it and put it in my car! These two employees definitely know customer service! They explained that receipts were emailed to me in case I misplaced my paper one. This was my first shopping experience at this big box store. I was impressed by the employees and the company, they appear to have the customer shopping experience in mind. Great customer service training and, convenience of emailed receipts one could put in a file instead of trying to keep track of paper receipts if needed. You can still get a paper receipt as well. Great first experience with this store that I'll return to...
Read moreThere is a lot of good here in this store. But...there needs to be some management oversight change at the checkout. I had one item to check out, there were 2 other customers ahead of me in line, plus the person currently at the register had a complex order that wasn't going well. This should have been an immediate flag for the checker to call for a second checker well before the line got so long. After waiting an inordinate amount of time my spouse got disgusted and wanted to leave. Eventually he even gave up and went out to the car. Finally I went up to the checker and asked if there wasn't someplace else we could pay. Only at that point did she say she was going to call another checkout clerk. And that additional person took his time getting there. This was not a pleasant experience, and the store didn't seem to be busy. It was about 11:30AM. Trans #: 2304 (11/06/2018) ...
