Buyer beware On Thursday a few minutes after 1 PM I entered Valley Wellness cannabis dispensary and went directly to an in-house computer ordering system and placed an order for 7 g whole flower grassroots sativa which was $85. as a senior citizen, sativa has always been my go to prescription as it has properties that help me get through the day. When I got home, I had to use a magnifying glass to read the extremely fine printed label and to my disbelief I was given a hybrid not sativa prescription of only 3.5 g and not the 7 g of sativa that I paid for. I had not broken the seal or opened the product so I brought it back thinking it would be a clean exchange of product. Someone named AJ said he was sorry for the mixup and handed me another jar which I Assumed to be the 7g whole flower sativa AJ said due to policy he could not take back the return of the hybrid and that I was stuck with it no charge. When I got home I viewed the label again with my magnifying glass and to my shock and dismay again the order was screwed up another jar of Hybrid smalls and not whole flower sativa so back again mind you Valley Wellness is 10 miles from my home that’s 20 miles round-trip times three visits 60 miles. This time when I arrived, I was told there’s nothing more they can do about it that it’s not their fault that the vendor Curaleaf puts wrong labels on there products so I’m stuck with the wrong prescription. Recap: ordered 7g grassroots whole flower Sativa $85.00 stuck with wrong prescription of hybrid smalls. No stars no thumbs up šŸ‘Ž

As a grower, and cannabis consumer for almost 2 decades, my standards are quite high. You have to know that going to a dispensary you will not get the best kind of flower, despite what brain washed people may tell you. Machine trimmed, overly dry, stemmy, and double the street price. I expected all of those things. What I didn't expect was getting less of the product than advertised. I know during the cure process the moisture leaves the flower but to advertise it as 3.5 and not deliver is just audacious and disrespectful. If you are a consumer and you buy from a dispo, MAKE SURE YOU LOOK AT HARVEST DATE!!! The further away from harvest, the lighter the product. I personally enjoy a resinous flower at 2 to 4 month cure but everyone is different. If you want a nice, slow burning j with a beautiful resin ring, buying flower this dried ain't it. If you're going to buy from a dispo, bring your scale and weigh it out right there. If nobody keeps people in check, they'll continue to abuse you. Gave 2 stars because it's better than nothing but still a let down.

First Jersey dispensary experience Extremely overpriced weed on the recreational side, can’t see any of the products except on the tablets Cost me $65 for an eight of weed + $4.50 to use a debit card, basically $70 for an eight of weed that tastes like moldy dirt. I did call and was informed that they accept cash or debit card, but they failed to inform me about the $4.50 debit card charge. Popeye would not be happy!!! I’ll stick to the black market like I have been doing for 50 years

Took me 3 attempts going there, to review.

First 🚩it’s off the high way, with the smallest lot in the world.

Secondly, overzealous military security, so must be aliens underground. We come in āœŒļø

My first time there i opened a jar to smell, NOT knowing it wasn’t allowed. I wanted to purchase it but their card reader only takes certain cards, no apply pay, no cash app. Only thing available was something to sign up through their scan thingy. On top of the ATM was out of service.

So I leave and get a call from Karen(not real name) she calls me saying it’s not allowed to open and that I have to buy it. I’m ALREADY peak top annoyed from the experience of not being able to pay and no time, as I needed to get to work. Now the nerve that Karen had to call MY phone telling me to pay for an open product, that I have been TRYING to pay for but HOW SWAY!? Time bend and be in two places at once? šŸ˜‘ATM and Work? 😪

Anyways, I tried my best to be nice to Karen but ended the phone call claiming I won’t be back out of anger because she was annoying and making my day WORSE. However, I know I was being unreasonable, impatient, plus I was crispy sober and now running late for work due to the inconvenience. Trying to be reasonable, I came back for a second attempt, a week later since it wouldn’t be fair to review because of my impatience.

Second attempt: This time the manager was there and a whole new energy of front desk and staff that were SO welcoming AND pleasant, unlike the first set of front desk with karen and the funky feng shui, I told them about my first time experience and the manager explained and helped a lot to understand the card reader, ATM, upcoming things etc. Best Manager and single handedly restored my experience and time there, He even gave me a discount to make up for the first experience. Thank you againšŸ™ I came prepared with cash so it was smooth and delightful. Was looking forward to coming back and try something else.

Now third time and final attempt, the funky front desk crew was back although Karen behind the desk wasn’t, as Kareny and actually helped by referring 7/11 atm nearby. Once again pressed for time I wasn’t going through all of that. Now leaving, I see the over eager military security and he says ā€œoh you came back!ā€ šŸ¤”Hmm, he must be sleeping with Karen doing pillow talk, to know what I told her on the phoneā˜•ļøI said yes ā€œI had tooā€ ..little did he know it was to give a THROUGH fair and honest review.

Conclusion: Beautiful establishment, knowledgeable staff, accommodating and lovely manager, efficient orders/shopping, actually decent product. I only tried one product but man security, Karen, card reader, parking and ATM left such a bad taste, not once but twice that, for me personally it’s not worth the mental/emotional, inconvenience and unstable vibes. I’ll do the extra drive for the PHENOMENAL crew and CONSISTENT good vibes over at Delta Don.

Recommendations when visiting, since I still think it’s a decent place for someone with more patience and less sensitive to energy.

Come high af to keep your peace Use fake phone number so Karen doesn’t harass you. Def come with more than enough time to iron out possible Bs Put zero faith in the ATM there šŸ‘ Show the manger lots of love and respect

Thanks for coming to my...

I really wish I didn’t have to right this but one bad apple truly spoils the bunch.

As a Black, Neurodivergent Woman in the Canna Content Creator space, im passionate about the friends and followers I’ve made in the Canna community as well the healing plant itself. On 5/12/2024, I had the most trauma inducing experience I've had while at a dispensary. I left with so much anxiety that I couldn't even rally and go try another dispensary to kickoff this series I’m currently working on for my IG account, which sucks because they'll still make money but I have to sit with no S@t!v@ to even calm down my frontal lobe and amygdala. As someone who battles with a Severe Anxiety/ADHD diagnosis, my heart is still racing because the fear of what could’ve happened has not subsided. The ā€œsecurityā€ guard walked up on my car, triggering the beginning of an anxiety attack. I mustered up enough courage to ask him why did he feel the need to walk up on my car. He scrambled to say ā€œoh you’re on private propertyā€, as I’m parked in a free parking spot. I told him that per my adhd, I struggle with transitioning to the next task, especially when it involves getting in or out of my car. He didn’t want to hear it and proceeded to take A PICTURE OF THE FRONT OF MY CAR, with ME AND MY LICENSE PLATE IN IT. If I wasn’t already anxious, that kicked it into overdrive.

Mind you, while I was sitting in my car…I was POSTING A PROMOTIONAL VIDEO to share my goodies with my followers. UNASKED FOR I MIGHT ADD because I genuinely only support things I like. I ended up returning my goodies due to the full blown anxiety attack caused. Didn’t think it was fair that I left with an anxiety attack and no sativa to calm my frontal lobe but they got to keep my money so I ABSOLUTELY RETURNED MY PRODUCTS AND PLACED AN ORDER IN BOUND BROOK.

He had no reason to take a picture of my car. Unless he was planning on weaponizing the police on a black MENTALLY ILL woman. Which is ironic, as he’s a black man who has probably had the police weaponized against him in his life. He’s yielding a strength that could’ve possibly ended with me in cuffs, in a mental institution, or worse. Black women are more likely to be wrongly diagnosed with a behavioral disorder before a mood disorder and are more likely to be incarcerated than our white counterparts. That’s a very REAL FEAR and he took FULL ADVANTAGE OF IT and further traumatized me in the process.

With so many neurodivergent friendly shops that I have yet to support in the Garden State, I will NEVERRRRR go back to @valleywellnessnj_ (I did a rant on my IG and I had to find their IG so my followers know where NOT TO GO). A few have already started showing their support by NOT SUPPORTING this place. THERES WAY FRIENDLIER PLACES FOR NEUROSPICY PEOPLE MY FRIENDS!!!!

Y'all do yall, but you WONT catch me there...even if they were doing a "going out of...

I understand they’re relatively new, and hope I can update this in the near future, but while I Greatly appreciate how close they are to my home, I’ve begun driving the hour again because they’re completely unprepared for more than a couple customers in the store at a time, and even with the cost of gas, other dispensaries regular lower prices, discounts and sales offered far outweigh the shorter distance to Valley Wellness. Some examples, other dispensaries offer a vet discount to all customers, VW is Med Only and significantly lower percentage. VW had a ā€œspecialā€ for a couple vape carts, but had the regular price double what the cost is everywhere else and the ā€œspecialā€ was regular price everywhere else. I check almost daily in the hopes there’s a special worth picking up in the 6+weeks they’ve been open for rec, but aside from 1906’s usual $1 sample pack deals, it’s only happened once, and it was barely a discount. I don’t know if they think they’d lose money with discounts and specials, but I know from speaking with others that I’m far from the only one that’s only going there in a pinch after giving them a few weeks, due to the aforementioned issues, and they’d profit far more from more customers buying a product at $25 than half the number of costumers buying it for $30. In terms of no clear line cues, so when there’s more than 3 or 4 customers, people are just standing all over the store in random places. There’s signs by the register for med, rec and pickup, but rec and pickup are on the same side with no actual clear separation, so if you order ahead to get in and out more quickly, you’re still stuck in a crowd of people ordering in person with no one knowing where to go. I do truly hope that they try to align with other dispensaries in the...
