Surprisingly, Bi-Mart in Rathdrum, Idaho consistently is competitive with, or beats big online retailers.
Bi-Mart carries lots of seasonal merchandise, so inventories change nearly continually.
Employees typically are in a more upbeat mood it would seem than in other comparable retail chain stores. Perhaps it has to do with being employee owned, and greater worker satisfaction?
Pet foods of all kinds, farm feeds and pet toys are staple items in this store in abundance, and competitively priced.
The pricing on their sporting goods inventory is typically very competitive, and with ever changing, seasonally focused emphasis. Whether it's camping season, ice fishing, hunting or water-sports, Bi-Mart carries the seasonal needs of the pursuit, and with pricing in line with other vendors.
Housewares and small appliances is another area that competes very favorably with online retailers, and carrying an impressively diverse inventory.
Spring and summer, Bi-Mart abounds with garden needs, bedding plants, fertilizers, mulch, hoses, sprinklers, raised beds and more. Too their house-branded fertilizers, mulch, bark, and potting soils are very reasonably priced, and high quality.
During the shortages of paper goods during the Covid-19 lockdowns, Bi-Mart consistently had the most needed paper products on the shelf at reasonable prices, albeit with imposed purchase quantity limits.
A nice resource to have added to our local Rathdrum business community, offering many items not previously available unless you went to CdA.
Accessibility is great, parking ample, restrooms clean and plenty of clerks to keep checkout...
Read moreI don’t typically leave reviews because I know negative reviews can influence people to shop or not shop from any business. However, in hopes that the store owner will read this, I’m writing this review. I have been in your store only once as I live almost an hour away from it. I was greeted by a very kind gentleman at the customer service desk. He was super informative and helpful about your store. Unfortunately this warm welcome ceased when I made it back to sporting goods. The women behind the counter are quite the opposite. They are curt and leave you feeling like you’re an irritant rather than a paying customer. I have made multiple phone calls to the sporting goods department and received the same tone and attitude. I’ve worked in retail and customer service myself and realize how employees greet and help customers has a lot to do with whether you continue to shop there. Maybe these women were just having a bad day, I don’t know. What I do know is that they portray poor customer service...
Read moreI have been a Bi-Mart member sence 1976. There were two in the town I grew up in. I've missed the store sence we moved here to Spokane.the two nearest stores were over 30 miles away. One in Deer Park, and one in Cheny. Even still I'd patron both when I could. Deer Park was the only store around with the best price on my Henry rifle. But to go to regularly they were just to far. Now that Rathdrum has one it's only 10 minutes away. Just like I remember, it's got a little bit of everything, not to mention good prices, great, friendly, and knowledgeable staff. Beats the s$#t out of Wal-Mart, but what store doesn't. It will be our go to store again. Headed back on pay day for a TV for my shop and more ammo. Maybee even...
