Advance Auto Parts — Local services in Raymond

Really disappointed with management here. We bought an alternator for my husband's truck here and the truck still didn't work. We brought the truck to a very reputable mechanic who said the alternator was faulty and replaced it again and got his truck working. We returned the alternator to Advance Auto and since it tested 'good' in their machine, they refused to take it back. It obviously doesn't work, or our truck would have worked when it was installed. So now, we are out $184 dollars and the store manager refused to allow the return. Not worth the chance to buy other auto parts here...if you can't return faulty merchandise, it's not good.

UPDATE - RESPONSE TO OWNER REPLY: We spent 10-15 min in the store today trying to work this out. The employee helping us went back to talk to the manager and was told by the manager he couldn't refund us. Our reputable (by your clerk's admission) mechanic was the one who told us the alternator was faulty and to return it...

I own a bunch of vehicles and drive a little further to go to Advanced Auto parts in Raymond because of the Great service I get in this store. Natasha is always beyond helpful with her knowledge and willingness to find the parts I need for some of my 80's vehicles that I have. The website availabilities versus what is actually at stores is inaccurate for every store in the area. I called five locations looking for a hands-on-parts confirmation of part numbers that were required and each store stated "I don't have them and I can't even order them for you, sorry I'm not sure why the website says we have them."
