I don’t normally take the time out of my day to write a bad review, but I thought my experience is worth noting.
I recently stopped in to purchase steak tips for my husband’s birthday. I asked if they were fresh (since they were the marinated ones) and was told they were, and to keep them in a “cold dark place in the refrigerator.” Hmm, ok? She was asking the other worker if there were more, and she served me what was left in the bottom of the bins. (Ok red flags here, but I ignored them)
I cooked them for the special birthday dinner, and they were clearly NOT fresh. Absolutely awful! They tasted like old meat. 🤢 I think the marinade must have done a pretty good job at masking any smells from the bag, because obviously if they had an odor I would not have even bothered cooking them. The cook by date on the label was still 3 days out from the day I cooked them.
How disappointing to go out of my way to support a local business, spend $41 for two pounds of meat, only to serve spoiled steak tips.
I called on Monday and spoke to someone, and she told me that they would make it right, and asked me to bring in what was left. When I returned with the meat, I was told that they were only willing to reimburse me for half as store credit. Why would I want to buy more meat from a business that doesn’t stand behind their products OR their customers?
They have a sign by their register about their strict no refunds policy (another red flag!) and the woman explained to me that once it leaves the store they have no way of knowing what happens to it. Well I can absolutely say the same thing about how their product is handled before it is sold!
I will say the staff member that handled the situation was very kind and apologetic, and really wanted to make it right. But per the owner of the shop, they were only willing to reimburse me for half. You would think that $41 wouldn’t be worth the bad business, but clearly not the case with this place! I took my $21 refund and will never step foot in there again.

Read moreThis is an in-out review. I did not purchase what I came for. I had visited the day before to find out if they had lamb and they said yes. I wanted to buy local.
Great start. I said I’d return today. I did. I asked for lamb lolly pops, exactly like the terminology the same lady used, and she looked at me and said “what?” Twice. “Oh ok, over in the freezer second shelve on the right. If none in front, they’ll be length on the back.” Same lady gets on the phone hangs up and out loud repeats a conversation with a customer with an issue.
I put the two $32.00 lamb lollipop packages back in the freezer.
No need for that kind of stuff.
Interestingly, after I brought up that I buy the same at COSTCO but want to try there, she said, “We can’t compete with COSTCO.”
I said I was fine with it, I want to support local.
Well, COSTCO so far has managed to sell me meat cheaper, AND give better customer service.
I’m sure all the positive reviews are spot on, but it wasn’t my experience. Nice convenient location. Meat looked fresh.

Read moreIf your looking for some great quality meats this is the place to go. I gave up buying my meats at grocery stores to but from a local source. Great products for your dogs as well. Their sausage is to die for. Get there early especially in the summer as they will sell out. The staff and owner are always great. My dogs live the duck, rabbit and big 40lb bag of bones. The owner is a great person who is always super friendly...
