I took my 4 year old son to see the monster trucks for the West Coast Nationals last night.
I brought my backpack with me as I normally do with a water bottle, snacks and a few sweat shirts just in case. My buddy did the same.
I figured my backpack would be searched like it is when I go to the Silver Dollar Fairgrounds in Chico and everywhere else I go. So when my wife was putting things in my backpack I asked her to take out my pocket knife. She said it wasn't in my backpack.
When we got to our seats I realized that my pocket knife was still in my backpack and they didn't bother to search us or anyone coming into the event in any way at all. No quick bags searches, no metal detectors or wands or anything.
Safety is extremely important to me especially with all the crazy things happening in our country these days.
It made me uncomfortable thinking about the possibility that someone could have walked in with a gun, or even a pipe bomb and nobody would have known. Meanwhile, I am here I am with my best friend and our 4 and 5 year old sons on out laps like sitting ducks.
As far ad I am concerned, this was a bodyless death. Safety should be the top priority. You failed. You put hundreds of people at risk and people in charge should be fired.
I won't be going back to the Red Bluff Fairgrounds again. It's not...
Read moreDepending what event is going on here depending ds on the access yo Handicapped parking etc. Most events u have to walk a little ways to get where your going so if u use a cane or walker or have ANY difficulty walking b PREPARED. IF u get to park INSIDE the fairgrounds, it can b confusing on where u CAN park and where u can't. most Events have mobile Golf carts to help people get to the venue and their vehicles. Call the main office to set this up on see if its going to b offered. It the fairgrounds so there will b curbs to go up, uneven pavement, grassy areas. Take SUN SCREEN AND BUG SPRAY AND CHAP STICK for all summer events here, and depending on event depends on if you have to PAY to park. (Stupid I think ! But everyone is money hungry these days) lots if fun events at tjr fairgrounds... bull sale, the rodeo, tehama county fair, quilt show, tractor shows just to...
Read moreLast weekend I purchased Monster Jam tickets an event my family and I haven't missed since it was started. We bought are tickets in Chico as we always do, loaded up are kids and drove to Red Bluff. For some reason the store sold us ticket for the wrong day. The ticket taker was so rude to us about us having the wrong tickets. The tickets had not been ripped/use or anything there was no compromise, no lets see what we could do, just a bad attitude and a get the hell out of my line. I asked to speak to someone higher than her but apparently the ticket taker is the highest on the list. I didn't want to make the three children more upset so we left NEVER to return to the Red Bluff fair grounds. I will make sure everyone I know is aware of the awful service provided there. Also, how rude your staff was, to my children and I We will...
